What do people think we need in January?
What do think we will get?
What do you think is the most important for promotion?
I will start
A striker who can get 10 goals, a midfield organiser and to keep Diangana.
A striker on loan who falls short of 10, Austin filling the shortfall, a defensive midfielder bought and Diangana staying. Ferguson will be sold, so a new defender bought as well from level 3. Harper out on loan, and Field out on loan to a level 3 club so he gets game time. O’Shea signing a long term deal plus Louie Barry given loads of abuse for signing with the Villa.
Can I request two things Diangana to stay and Diangana and Pereira to stay injury free. (Or is that 3 things!) ?
Josh you can put the names to the positions!

Well this is a "huge match" for Hibs v testy Championship opponents and I view this game as being 90 mins away from Hibs footie season being almost ended in terms of any real further interest in the Scottish Premiership as we are now too far away from 4th place, a consequence of Heckingbottom's awful management of the 1st team activities. I watched United's recent derby match v Dundee and came to the conclusion that Hibs can definitely beat the Tangerines but we are so "hot n cold" in our matches that one doesn't know what Hibs team is gonna "show up" at Tannadice. It is a Scottish Cup tie attracting a huge Hibs away support to Tannadice. Therefore I expect Jack Ross to field an attacking Hibs team that will go all out to win this cup tie in the true tradition of Hibs sides of the past. Also I wanna see a solid defence for a change! Rocky in goal , Naismith or Gray at RB and the ever faithful Stevo at LB. The current CBs to use are Hanlon and Magregor but I'd personally bring in Ryan Porteous to play in an "anchor" role in front of Hibs defence. Let him "battle" that area in a defensive mid capacity. Hibs midfield is where this game is gonna be won or lost. Hence Scott Allan should start in a forward role with Stevie Mallan omitted. Slivka to slot in to back up Allan and the pace of Boyly and Horgan hopefully can run amok!!! The CF position is definitely a crucial call for the manager and all I can say is "good luck re that decision" unless Mark McNulty is a surprise Hibs signing by then!! C'mon Hibs!

WELCOME TO TARN!
Barnsley is our adopted town. Love it! The people are by and large sound as a pound. They are liable to call you nutters or daft chuffs at times but it is kindly meant.
The tarn has been undergoing a multi-million pound regeneration so is looking like a building site although you can see plenty that has been done.
I'm a bit worried about what the new fancy pants Cineworld is going to do to the Parkway Cinema which is really very comfortable and very good value. Also, I feel for the market traders who are probably paying higher rents in the newly restored markets which are very nice but you know what I mean.
The big cineworld currently under construction
All very smart
People moan that there are spiceheads wandering around but I've also seen them in Huddersfield. It's certainly not unique to tarn.
There are loads of nice things to see in tarn. You may like to visit the statue of Dickie Bird. I can't see his attraction myself but I know that's not a popular view.
That's my bit for Barnsley Tourism.
Onto the match...
Barnsley who are alphabetically top of the league (couldn't help noticing that - sorry) but are, in reality, 23rd. Currently on 21 points, equal with Luton Town but have a better goal difference.
They come into this following an FA Cup 3-1 win against Crewe Alexandra. League form is L, D, D, W (2-1 away at Millwall), W (an impressive 5-3 home win over QPR), D.
Needless to say we had a disappointing 2-0 lost to Southampton at St Mary's. Although we can at least say our opposition was premier league. League wise, we look like this: L, W, L, W, D, W.
I'd like to think that these results and the fact that we have beaten them already this season is in our favour.
Head to head
Top scorers
Played for both
Kallum Higginbotham is now playing in India for Real Kashmir
Adam Hammill currently at Stockport County
Dean Gorre currently managing Suriname
Adie Moses who is now a financial adviser to professional footballers
What the managers are saying
Gerhard Struber was appointed Barnsley manager in November 2019. The Austrian is a former midfielder and has spent most of his coaching career with Red Bull Salzburg's youth teams. He went on to coach FC Liefering which according to Wikipedia was a feeder club for Red Bull Salzburg. Prior to being appointed at Barnsley he was manager of Wolfsberger FC.
Back to tarn - pubs and clubs
According to my sources, you are ok to use the following for prematch refreshment:
Looks small but goes back miles and has an upstairs, too. Been there with work for pre-night out food.
According to the football ground guide, you can leave your car there for £2. Also, you may have to pay a small subscription to go in for a drink.
You should also be welcome here.
By far the most popular seems to be the Dove Inn where away fans are welcomed. It gets a mention in most, if not all, of the football ground guides, also by local sources and is CAMRA listed which I know is important to some of you.
Where to park
Apart from the East Dene Club which I have already mentioned (maybe check in advance or on facebook if that offer still applies), we always park near the ground. Currently £5 or £20 for a coach.
Directions if you need them are in the guide. Basically for most of you, just head south until they speak funny. They say words like wheare and theare, tha and thou.

I think his extreme spat with Hertz fans at the PBH finally "spelt the end" for him although there will be other Scot footie clubs who will take him.

2 points for a correct result
4 points for a correct score
2 points for each correct scorer
Correct joker doubles your score
Wrong joker result gives you minus 2
Correct Random Badger gives you 2 points
The random badger is used for any random prediction used once in each matchday sequence. For instance, a scorer at a particular match, the number of red cards in the matches or yellow cards or own goals or owt you want really within reason, I do need to be able to check whether it's correct or not. Please don't put stuff like....."Commentator says...."
The joker is played for one match in each sequence and if correct you get double points. So if you've predicted 1-0 and it finishes 2-0, you get 4 pts, but if you've predicted 2-0, that's 8 pts. But if you get it wrong, it's minus 2.
Jokers and badgers are optional. You don't have to play one if you don't want.
Cup games:
In the event of a draw, it's half the points if you've predicted a draw when it gets to 90 mins and the full points if it's still a draw after extra time. Half the points will be awarded for correctly predicting the winner of the match if it goes to penalties.
Random score generator: I will be using the random score generator again for those who miss predicting, so we shouldn't get some people too far behind that after missing a couple of weeks they lose all interest, because I know it's not easy getting on here every week.
To be fair to everybody, this is going to be like, say if three people in one week miss their predictions, the first one in the table will be given all 0-0, the second one down the line will get 1-0 and the third will get 0-1 and so on, like if there's four missing the 4th will get 1-1, then 5th 2-1, 6th 1-2. and if there are so many missing, might as well pack in.
And if you miss two weeks on the trot, I'll stop until you come back on again. Not doing it for half a season like I did t'other year.

SMILIES/BALLS
Bonus Ball
Score Ball, Free to use Ball , play it on a game that you think both teams will score in !
Gamball,
New Scoring System
Incorrect Result = 0 point
Incorrect Result (Bonus Ball) = -3 * Changed from -2
Incorrect Result (Gamball) = -3
[/color]
Score Ball = 1 added Point if both teams score. !
Correct Result = +2 points
Correct Result (Bonus Ball) = +3
Correct Result (Gamball) = +5 * Changed from +4
Correct Score = + 4 points
Correct Score (Bonus Ball) = +6
Correct Score (Gamball) = +10 * Changed from +8
As you can see the incorrect scoring has not really changed apart from a wrong Bonus this will be now scored at -3 instead of -2 the reason for this are the gains on the new Gamball scoring you will make (see below) in the hope this encourages you to use it most if not all of the time.
So to the Gamball, the use of the Gamball was tactically not used in some cases last season as the gains we not considered to great compared to the losses, it's for this reason we have decided to change the scoring, The loss will stay the same at -3 but the reward will be a correct result will go up by one from 4 to 5 points and the correct score will go up by 2 from 8 to 10 points !!!
Just a reminder you DO NOT have to play the Gamball if you dont want too, the score will then be marked normal.
Again the third from bottom of the premiership will play off against the third in the table from the Championship to keep even more excitement going, they will have to predict through all the Playoffs and the winner obviously takes their place in the Premier League the following season
Beefy, Bomber, Zinman & SCO
If you do not predict,...........
If in your league everyone scores above zero you will receive Zero points,
However if in your league the person with the lowest score is below Zero (eg -4) you will score -5 and receive your first strike, Remember 3 strikes and you're out.
All scores must be in before MIDDAY SATURDAY,(For The Early Kick Off If Applicable) If the early kick off is missed the rest of your predictions must reach us by 2.45pm or none will be counted.

Anything later unless it is a Major error will NOT be corrected. It is as much your responsibility to check your scores as much as it is ours to try and score them correctly.

Today I observed so called retrospective SFA justice imposed on Christie for supposedly grabbing Morelos' "private parts" and Celtic officials absolutely seething at this decision and wanting to meet with the SFA ref officials asap!! I watched this incident on a couple of occasions and can honestly say that it was possibly an offence of some sort but not a red card offence, the main reason for this OP being placed on this Sb board. Yet in the same match I watched one Rangers player (Morelos) gesturing to the Hoops' fans with a "slit throat" hand action and another Rangers player (Kent) gesturing to Hoops' fans with a "gun to the head" hand action - OUTRAGEOUS AND UNPRECEDENTED IN SCOT FOOTIE; I CAN CONFIRM I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT KINDA UNACCEPTABLE POISONOUS ACTIVITY IN ALL THE YEARS I'VE WATCHED THE GAME UP HERE!!! What the f### is going on with this kinda selective SFA ref scrutiny action that IMO is unwarranted while other unacceptably worse offences are ignored but have been clearly highlighted on a Sky Sport tv broadcast!! Also last season I watched Morelos stamp on Celtic players at Ibronx on a number of occasions - all filmed on camera and yet no retrospective action - a lot worse than the Christie incident! Thankfully Celtic will cover that midfield position anyway but the inconsistency is unacceptable!!

*Murder scene*
Cop 1: This is the 8th victim stabbed with a knitting needle
Cop 2: There’s definitely a pattern
Cop 1: Keith don’t
was walking past a pet shop. A sign on the shop front said ; ‘Pedigree Netherlands cats for sale.’
I didn’t believe they were from the Netherlands so I went into the shop and asked the assistant...
‘How Dutch is that moggie in the window?’.
