So in order to beat the boredom, I've come up with a quiz. There are multiple rounds for you to go at, and like any sporting event, we begin with somewhat of a warm up, just to get the brain going again
Round 1
What better than an anagram round to get the cogs whirring? All are something to do with English football, be it a team, a ground, a person maybe even a nickname. Good luck
1) Fur Motor
2) Honest Formatting
3) A crowd roar
4) Arty robs cot
5) the lords rich hen crisp
6) hog maid flutist
7) sled drive
8) leery noon tit
9) top ten plays
10) subway item meld
11) somewhere limit
12) a scary pet call
13) odd crafty rib
14) pigs hate me
15) Landlord Bee
round 2
the easter round, all these people have something to do with the time of year coming up
1) defender who worked his way up the leagues, playing for teams like blackpool and mainly rochdale, currently plays for another lancashire side in league one
2) 12 time welsh international striker, played for the likes of crystal palace and mk dons, but town fans might remember him more from his time at plymouth
3) Spanish winger who played for man city in the premier league, is now back in his native country
4) Zimbabwean defender who is currently clubless after leaving bolton. has played for bradford and mk dons in the past
5) one of the few, if not only spaniards to play in the blue and white of town. didnt do much here, but has since gone on to have a decent career on the continent, including playing in the champions league
6) A 'premier league' defender who has played for a few teams of the blue and white stripe variety, currently plays in red and its not his first time doing that either
7) another welsh international, but this one had a short spell at town. was most prolific at his first club where he spent the majority of his career, has pretty much done nothing since he left them
8) young attacker who plays in germany and has represented them in every age group bar the senior side so far. has been at his current club in the bundesliga since 2013
round 3
the uddersfield tarn rand. All these have something relating to huddersfield town
1) which former player holds the record for the most sub appearances for town?
2) What was special about the game at gigg lane between town and bury in 1926?
3) Huddersfield has played host to one senior england international fixture. who against and what score did it finish?
4) Against whom did town register their lowest attendance in a post war league game? bonus point for the attendance
5) Town have had 2 double barrelled surname players in their time, who are they?
6) The first of its kind occurred in a game against arsenal in 1924. what was it?
7) In 2002/03 town had three players with the same surname, who were they and name the only other player with that surname to represent town before hand
8) Who was the first team town played on a sunday, and what score did it finish?

14) There have been one maltese and one peruvian nationals to play for the club. who are they?
15) Who was the last town player to make it into a team of the year and who was the first?
round 4
the general football round. All questions are to do with football, but not just huddersfield

What comes next? there will be a set of names with you needing to say what would be next ie if i put 1, 2, 3, 4...? the answer would be 5. I'll make them and see if they are too difficult. Bonus point if you can say what the link is edit: might put a clue with some if prompted

Ron Gordon finally issuing his own take re the COVID-19 crisis and how it is affecting HFC and the relative footie community. One significant part of the Chairman's statement saying, "There are some certainties – we have lost our revenue streams, while our ongoing running costs remain largely in place, and we anticipate that we will not be playing matches in the coming months. This is clearly not sustainable.
Although Hibernian is better positioned than most to weather the storm, we are far from immune. Unfortunately, other clubs are facing similar or even more severe problems. The loss of cash in the bank puts our Club under the most severe strain and threat".
Ron iterating his mantra, "one club, one team", and we are strong as one unified group to adjust and take on this crisis together.

here is the result of the 12.00 pm snail race from farmer maggots field...starting last friday
the results have become a bit clouded under controversy
as snail 3 won in under 3 days
the owners of the other snails are claiming the winner was on steroids
as it stands the IOSRC(International Olympic Snail Racing Committee) will be holding a review into the race, and reports suggest that the race may have to be held again.
And In Other Sporting News:
The World Championship 3 Legged Donkey Race At Blackpool Today Ended In A Farce,As One Donkey Actually Made It To The Finishing Line.
The Remaining 7 Entrants All Fell At The Starting Line
Breaking News: the winner of the 3 legged donkey championship was sensationally disqualified just after the race due to the fact it wasnt a real donkey
it was found to be from the local pantomine that was cancelled over the weekend
and just before i go
some sad news to report in the world of pig throwing, the world champion porky sadly passed away this morning
his owner was understandably upset, but issued the following statement:
FREE BACON SANDWICHES FOR ALL
and thats all the sports news tonight

well due to the fact all sport has been suspended on planet earth
the crew of the star ship enterprise has been going stir crazy
spock has resigned himself to his quarters stating (i cannot logically comprehend no sport)
Kirk has left him to his own devices...out of of sympathy
as for the rest of the crew
even the threat of Klingon attacks are going unprepared
our rear end was compromised earlier by a rogue attack
we manage to repair it
but we envisage more rear end attacks
the Enterprise is drifting throughout the galaxy looking for some sort of sport to watch
the morale of the crew is at rock bottom
apart from the planet MoreOr Less
that is still broadcasting
Womping Feareless Wombats
We Have Nothing Really To Report
You People Of Earth Take It Easy
We Are Sure Your Sports Will Resume
For Now
