If the whole world isolated for 14 days coronavirus would not have been able to be passed on. Any infected would have recovered. Hence the Coronavirus would cease to exist ? Sounds simple but I'm trying to think of a good reason why it wouldn't work.

I lost my last uncle to covid a couple of weeks ago, couldn't say goodbye or go to his send off and was tested positive myself over easter, the risks of working in a hospital, I'm better now and back working, but the pressure is still on, staff off sick of shielding.
