The random badger is used for any random prediction used once in each matchday sequence. For instance, a scorer at a particular match, the number of red cards in the matches or yellow cards or own goals or owt you want really within reason, I do need to be able to check whether it's correct or not. Please don't put stuff like....."Commentator says...."  
The joker   is played for one match in each sequence and if correct you get double points. So if you've predicted 1-0 and it finishes 2-0, you get 4 pts, but if you've predicted 2-0, that's 8 pts. But if you get it wrong, it's minus 2.
Jokers and badgers are optional. You don't have to play one if you don't want.


Cup games:
In the event of a draw, it's half the points if you've predicted a draw when it gets to 90 mins and the full points if it's still a draw after extra time. Half the points will be awarded for correctly predicting the winner of the match if it goes to penalties.

Random score generator: I will be using the random score generator again for those who miss predicting, so we shouldn't get some people too far behind that after missing a couple of weeks they lose all interest, because I know it's not easy getting on here every week.
To be fair to everybody, this is going to be like, say if three people in one week miss their predictions, the first one in the table will be given all 0-0, the second one down the line will get 1-0 and the third will get 0-1 and so on, like if there's four missing the 4th will get 1-1, then 5th 2-1, 6th 1-2. and if there are so many missing, might as well pack in.
And if you miss two weeks on the trot, I'll stop until you come back on again. Not doing it for half a season like I did t'other year.

Celtic really "up against it" today at Hampden when they didn't play well but ultimately they "did the job" v a Rangers team although got the "rub of the green" with a marginal offside decision that Julienne didn't bother with. However, Rangers had lotsa scoring opps incl a pk but didn't deliver. So Celtic's record run of 30 cup ties unbeaten continues unabated!! Where and when will it end?

QPR TRANSFER DEALINGS

Ex City trader Mark Warburton now the incumbent of the Loftus Road hot seat, my fourth visit in four season and a different manager every time.
He has nothing to do with this though

A trip to the smoke for our slightly out of form boys to play a Rangers side who have also had a dip in form although they got a good point a Wayne Rooney's Direby County last time out, wonder kid Eze bagging a penalty.
For us continue thge improvement in play from Monday and we won't be far away at the end of the season. Rangers have not kept a clean sheet this season appaerently and we cannot score away from home so 0-0 nailed on then.
The ground has probably the worst seats ever in the away end if you are over 6 tone you will struggle.

Team wise depends who is fit and whether we have got rid of teh flu bug room for Hunts possibly

Transport mode train to the smoke also corresponds with Branson losing the contract so will be riding a Virgin for the last time, one can only dream I suppose.

Match Officials: Queens Park Rangers Away



We will be officiated for the second time this season by referee Andy Davies at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium this weekend.

Andy was in charge of our game against Bristol City at Deepdale back in September, that ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw, which was his first trip to PR1 in 12 months.

Before that we last saw the referee at PNE for the early season local derby with Bolton Wanderers in 2018/19; the game finishing 2-2. That was the officials’ second-only time of taking charge at Deepdale having made the long trip up from Hampshire for the game.

His first trip north was back in January 2018, when he was referee for a 1-1 draw with Birmingham City.
Whilst that was his first game as Deepdale, the match official has also taken charge of North End games away from home in the past, including the opening game of the 2016/17 at Reading.

This is his eighth year on the EFL lists, but only his seventh ever PNE game. He took charge of 2015/16’s goalless draw at Brighton & Hove Albion back in October 2015, having previously been the man with the whistle for a Lilywhites fixture back in 2012 at Leyton Orient.

This will be his 16th game of the new season, having issued 46 cautions and two red cards in the previous seven games. In a bizarre fact, his other QPR game this season was also at home to Bristol City… and the game also ended 3-3!

He will be assisted by Rob Smith and Darren Blunden and the fourth official will be Will Finnie.

So Rangers will be the latest challengers to try to end Celtic's record cup run of unbeaten cup ties as they attempt to lift the Scottish League Cup for the first time but realising that the only Scottish domestic trophy they have actually won is the Petrofac Cup. Anyway, Lenny has been waiting on quite a few 1st team players who are injured and I reckon most of them will return to play in this cup final with Edouard the most notable addition on Sunday. I think Celtic will win this match more comfortably than many people perceive it but it could be close - depends very much on the Hoops' team that Lenny is able to field and it could be close to his best line up! Also experience of cup final success will be invaluable in this one-off match.

Another low scoring week for the PL with just 51 total points scored and not a single point scored on the Gamball!! Themaclad heads the way this week on 12 points courtesy of scoring on 6 games and being one of only 3 players to get anything positive from the bonus ball. Sanjay is in 2nd place just a point behind on 11 points by virtue of scoring on 50% of the predictions.

In 3rd place is Beefy on 8 points, close to the top for him but hardly likely to make up much ground in his quest for greatness!! BBB comes in 4th on 7 points, scored on half the games but missed on his two balls and the fact he at least got the extra point from the scoreball means he finished one point ahead of Derby in 5th place, who despite a week leading 2 correct scores missed on all his balls to keep his score down. AAA comes in 6th on 4 points, would of course been much worse had he played the Gamball as he got it wrong!!!

The bottom three all had identical scores and identical outcomes to achieve it!!! Zinman, Bomber and St Charles, the three scorers for the prediction league, all finished on a paltry 1 point each, with each of them getting that point courtesy of the Scoreball!! At least it Ames the scoring and adding up easy when you are going up in ones!!!!

A highly unusual, some might even say astonishing, week. Only 3 correct score predictions and they all happened on the same match which just happened to be Beefy's gamball choice. No surprise that the 3 lucky contestants happen to be sitting on top of this week's pile.

The surprise comes at the top of the table - yes, you read it correctly, it's Snooty! His 18 points represent by far his best week of the season so far but continues his recent Lazarus like revival which has seen him gain considerably more points from the last 4 weeks than he did in the first 10! A late charge for promotion possibly? (OK, that may be stretching it a bit - we'll leave those fantasies to Beefy). Snoots was not only helped by the gamball but also his bonus where, for once, he let his head rule his heart to predict a Huddersfield thumping.

Joker appears to have shaken off his.....Joker tag?...that we've been used to in previous seasons, to keep his hopes of replacing Beefy in the premier league alive. Another good performance with the highest number of correct predictions though his bonus ball error kept him off the top. Third place goes to Lady Jane whose gamball made all the difference to what would otherwise have been a poor week.

Stairs, Amelia and Twerton occupy the mid table positions separated by just 2 points. Nothing spectacular for them although Stairs and Twerton will be glad that their bonuses offset losses from the gamball.

MightyBrom didn't exactly live up to his name but at least managed to get a positive score thanks to his scoreball, leaving BaggieOne at the foot of the table - just 2 correct predictions and a failure on all balls leaving him on minus 2 for the week.

So Hibs return to ER Stadium after ignominiously ending their unbeaten run under Jack Ross with a ridiculous concession of a defeat from the "jaws of victory" v an average team, Ross Co - an absolute embarrassment!!! And now they must follow on from that duff result to play the Dons who I must say were "mince" for most of their match tonight v Rangers and yet amazingly fought back from 0-2 to an eventual undeserved 2-2 draw. However, that result will have prob given them a welcome boost and a positive result that, I hate to say it, means we are not gonna win this match and the Hibs historical league "bogey" v AFC will prevail unless Jack Ross accepts that Hibs defence needs to be changed or adapted and we need to "take on" a proper physical battle in the midfield area to give us a chance of winning!! I rate our chances as almost nil v a team that I reckon can be beaten with the proper line up of accountable players and game plan BUT I'M NOT HOLDING MY BREATH IN ANTICIPATION!! I'd love to see Hibs finally end this ridiculous long-term league "bogey" - they couldn't even previously do it at Pittodrie v 10 men and "all over them" with Doidge the chief sinner!!!! They can't even seem to do it v poor AFC teams!!!
