  A MASSIVE GAME
Posted by: Baggiebob(BBB) - 29-12-2019, 14:08 - Forum: West Bromwich Albion - Replies (7)

Our team could be 6pts ahead of Leeds after the New Year game, or maybe still heading the table on 1/2 goal difference if Leeds win.

This game will be a game changer, cos if Leeds win will they then continue on to be in the top two, or not? Huh

Last year having had so many draws cost us, so will that happen again, and if so who would your top two be?

Any thoughts?

VAR? Time to scrap it or call a moratorium on it?
Posted by: 0762 - 28-12-2019, 22:26 - Forum: Premier League Discussion - Replies (6)

After observing a great Pukki goal tonight for Norwich City v Spurs being unjustly disallowed for a miniscule offside violation (in centimetres!), is it not time to call a halt to this farce? This VAR decision is the latest of many throughout the Premiership season and the lack of acceptable tolerance in favour of an attacking forward is absolutely ridiculous. Compare the same VAR system being practised in the likes of Serie A and it is "apples and pears" in comparison where some leeway is given in instances where the offside violation is miniscule - the difference in interpretation is glaringly obvious where English FA officials really need to rethink how they are affecting the result of a footie match in such a way!! What a joke and today it was the Canaries who were the latest victims!!

Livingston v Hibs, Sun 29 Dec, KO 3.00pm
Posted by: 0762 - 28-12-2019, 14:45 - Forum: Hibernian - Replies (5)

Well the games are coming in "thick n fast" and this one on a shit artificial pitch will be a challenging one. My concern actually centres on who we should "risk" playing on this surface because I don't wanna see more injuries arising to the likes of "fragile" players such as Magregor and Boyly who have just returned to competitive action after long absences. Jack Ross has previous experience of playing teams on artificial surfaces when he managed Alloa Athletic and hopefully that experience will "stand him in good stead" when assessing what kinda Hibs line up will "do the job" at venues such as this one. They are only 3 pts behind Hibs. So this is a game of great importance to hopefully "push on" farther into the top half of the Scot Premiership. We really need to use that positive Embro derby win to pick up momentum and try to win this fixture in any way that we can!! However, Livy will not make it easy - gotta earn the result! C'mon Hibs!

GGTTH
