| Another match on an artificial pitch evens out Celts' draw v Killie! |

So it comes to pass that Rangers became the latest victims of the artificial pitch "lottery" and they were MINCE v Livingston this afternoon and a lot worse than the Hoops were v Killie. However, there's still a long way to go but Rangers already looking not as good as many folk in the "Rangers appreciation society" (incl Kris Boyd) seemed to believe - a real wake up call even though they are top of the Scot Prem on the same pts total as Hibs.

Championship club Watford have confirmed the appointment of Vladimir Ivic as their new head coach.
The 43-year-old has agreed a one-year contract, with the option of a further year held by the club.
Former Maccabi Tel Aviv manager Ivic succeeds Nigel Pearson, who was sacked two games before the end of the season.
Watford were relegated from the Premier League after losing their final game at Arsenal, with former player Hayden Mullins in caretaker charge.
That result ended a five-year stay in the top flight for the Hornets, who were FA Cup finalists in 2019.
"It's my first time in England and I need to adapt as fast as possible, to do the best for the club is very important to me," said Ivic, who represented Serbia and Montenegro at international level as a player.
Ivic is Watford's fourth full-time boss in less than 12 months as Javi Gracia and Quique Sanchez Flores were both sacked in the early weeks of last season, leading to Pearson's arrival in December.

He was a free agent after leading Maccabi Tel-Aviv to two consecutive league titles in Israel and has also previously managed Greek club PAOK, with whom he won a domestic cup.
"I've worked with my coaching staff for three years, so I know that we will ask the most from ourselves so we can help the players to achieve the club's goals," Ivic said.

Talk out two different approaches to community involvement, so proud to see a little while ago that the Albion Foundation had delivered, one third of all food parcels by delivered by Sandwell Council to vulnerable recipients in West Bromwich during the pandemic.
Today I read that Tottenham Hotspur FC have charged Haringey council more than £33,000 to use part of its car park as a food bank during the pandemic. Surely they could wave an amount equal to around one day of Harry Kane's wages for a community cause like that. Mind you Lewis and Levy have got their reputation as scumbags to think about.

Hi guys and gals, so I’m finally back after taking a 12 sabbatical due to reasons beyond my control.
It’s nice to see the old familiar names and some new ones. It’s great to be back amongst people who understand what my nerves go through every week and another promotion!
I have been dipping in every now and again just to see posts without commenting.
Anyway I’m sort of looking forward to the new season and any news on potential signings but am still waiting like the rest of you.
I have noticed that ‘newsnow’ has become really rubbish compared to its usual ok ish.
Anyway hopefully some of you will be ok with my reappearance, it’s good to be back.
I’m currently spending the weekend in Liverpool trying to teach em to spake proper Black Country.

Not going to be quite the same, we won't have chance to go and watch them for starters, but they have just announced the first couple. We play Bradford City and Fleetwood Town at the JSS, both on Weds 26th.
Quote:The Terriers will first play Sky Bet League 1 side Fleetwood Town in a 4pm kick-off before squaring off against Sky Bet League 2 club Bradford City at 7pm.
Fleetwood, who are managed by former England international Joey Barton, finished sixth in the curtailed League 1 campaign in 2019/20, losing over two legs to eventual winners Wycombe Wanderers in the Play-Offs.
West Yorkshire rivals Bradford have Stuart McCall in charge for a third spell and feature former Town favourite Lee Novak among their ranks. They finished just outside the Play-Offs on points-per-game in ninth spot.
Further friendlies for the First Team will be announced soon; keep an eye on htafc.com and the Club’s social media channels.
