The Rangers have another spat with the SPFL!!!!?????
Posted by: 0762 - 17-06-2022, 15:58 - Forum: Rangers - Replies (3)

The footie season is hardly over and this toxic Govan footie club moves into confrontational overdrive AGAIN with Park, their Chairman, accusing the SPFL of bullying and bringing the game into disrepute - that's "rich" coming from this particular Scot footie club!!! All after the SPFL agreeing a new deal with Cinch. Any fool can see that Park has huge "vested interest" in not signing up to any deal and not displaying any Cinch logos on their jerseys. Park saying that RFC is "fully vindicated" in their stance on Wednesday after the SPFL finally acknowledged the club's legitimate application of rule i7 in June 2021. However, the SPFL officials quickly hit back and insisted they would relish the chance to "set the record straight" after agreeing this new deal. This whole story is all about Rangers FC as usual and no other Scot footie club has a prob. Nothing new when observing the activities of this toxic footie club that seems to thrive on confrontation and intimidation. I commented years ago how blissful the Scot prem was without their presence in it any more and all my negative predictions against them, when they eventually returned, have been confirmed! Thumb down

Morecambe have signed Salford City defender Donald Love on a two-year deal.

Love, 27, held discussions with Salford over extending his stay with them but has opted to join the Shrimps.

"It is nice to get everything sorted before the start of pre-season," he told the club website.

"There are some big clubs in League One, it is great to be a part of this club and I hope that we can kick on and not just fight relegation."

  Agent Appleton

Appointing an ex PNE player, he will be doing God's work

Blackpool have appointed former Lincoln and Oxford boss Michael Appleton as their manager for a second time.

Appleton, 46, previously spent just 65 days in charge of the Seasiders in 2012-13 before leaving to take charge of Blackburn Rovers.

He returns to the Championship club after Neil Critchley left to take the assistant manager position at Aston Villa earlier this month.

Appleton left Lincoln in May after three years in charge.

Saint Johnstone away in Hibs opening Scot Prem fixture, 2022-23

So Hibs begin the 2022-23 Scot Prem season with an away match in Perth. And only two home matches in the first five fixtures! Anyway, we've gotta get on with it and lets hope for a good start to this upcoming footie season, a win at McDiarmid Park will initially raise morale and hopefully kick start a positive momentum to a season that will be intriguing in respect of where Hibs are gonna go under this new management regime that has a lot to prove following all the usual "talk" of future aspirations and the positive way forward for the club. Of course, this will be an unusual footie season due to the 12 November-17 December break for the duration of the Qatar World Cup tourney where sadly Scotland is not participating again, a massive blow to the sport up here.

First Derby at Easter Road, 6th August. Fairly decent set of fixtures for Hearts, apart from Celtic away. Hopefully rack up a decent points tally early on

Barnsley have signed New Zealand goalkeeper Jamie Searle on a two-year deal following his exit from Championship side Swansea City.

The 21-year-old did not make a senior appearance at either Aston Villa or Swansea City, having spent time at both since arriving in the United Kingdom.

He did play for Villa's under-21 side in the EFL Trophy, and won his one All Whites cap against New Caledonia.

"To show what I can do is really what I'm looking forward to," Searle said.

Hull City goalkeeper Matt Ingram has signed a new three-year contract.

The 28-year-old joined the Tigers from QPR in June 2019 and has made 68 league appearances for the club.

He ended last season on emergency loan at Championship rivals Luton and played four times as they lost to Huddersfield in the play-off semi-finals.

"The goal is to get to the Premier League, whether that be next season or the year after. It's massively exciting times," he told the club website.

Championship side Stoke City have signed centre-back Aden Flint on a one-year contract.

Flint, 32, will leave Cardiff at the end of June, after three years, after being released at the end of his deal.

The defender made 93 appearances and scored 12 goals in his time in the Welsh capital.

Flint began his English Football League career with Swindon, and also spent five years with Bristol City before moving to Middlesbrough.

"I'm delighted to get it over the line, it's been in the pipeline for a few weeks now," Flint said.

"I obviously spoke to the gaffer while I was holiday, and I'm just delighted to be able to get it done."

Grimsby Town have signed FC Halifax Town defender Niall Maher on a two-year contract.

The 26-year-old played 43 times for the Shaymen last season but turned down a new deal with the National League side.

Maher is the Mariners' first signing since they won promotion back to the Football League earlier this month.

"I think he is excited about the prospect of joining us and I am delighted to have him on board," boss Paul Hurst told the club website.
