Get James signed permanently would be good as well. I believe whitehead can play at right back too so cover there for smith if need be although would like another genuine right back for competition. Another CB and a loan striker from a premier league club.
Really dont think we need another winger with bunn, lolley and scanz all competing for a spot there.

youth is ok but experience has its advantages and experience doesnt mean slow, Whitehead is primarily a midfielder who can cover right back if needed. when you look at the midfielders we used the most last year they are very young , 22 24 and 26 respectively, the will benefit hugely with having whitehead in the squad who will be good cover and be able to rotate in/out when needed.
our back 4 also isnt that old yes Hudosn is 33 but Lynch is only 27 and smith 23 , and id the Reece james rumors are true hes only 21 , for the league its actually and average aged back 4 ,

Not sure how reliable the source but town are amongst the clubs looking at smith and byrne at swindon. Smith striker and byrne a fullback.
Smith played at charlton under crisp owl and offers goals and a bit of height by looks of it

it would have to be a clayton type deal. big wad a cash and a young player who could be just as good

bournemouth can dream on about butterfield. Player of the season and arguably our most important player? 5m plus harry arter or someone like that in exchange too. Absolutely no chance. Hoyle should tell em to jog on.

As always, a lot will depend on what Butterfield actually wants. I'm sure we didn't really want to let Rhodes go, but money talks, and so does the players desire unfortunately. Lets see.

Apparently on the grapevine Burnley want Nakhi as replacement for Ings. Going to offer 4m. If we could line up a replacement similar for less money and make them bid 5m I'd probably take it. Different position to butts.
- I wonder if we will have the oldest back 4 in the championship ? = experience is okay until you play against quick players......then its like watching your defenders wade through treacle to track back and defend.....not the way forward Town.....question is are we setting out our staff for mid table mediocrity
