lets hear what you would like and what you've heard through the grapevine :p

Greg Halford at forest is due to be released, versatile defender, can play right back, centre back, midfield and up top. could be a good utility player to have.

they are also releasing danny collins, who we got 'linked' with earlier this season, old, but a leader, dont see it myself, but the squad is thin.

they are also to make decisions on Harding (a left back) Pattinson (a few wanted him here) and danny fox (another left back) amongst others

No thanks to danny fox, scanz absolutely had him on toast when we played them. Someone like Danny Collins would be fantastic to add competition for places at centre back and give us 4 good centre backs. Harding I believe we wanted in the past, used to play for southampton, was pivotal in their promotion from league one. Could be worth a look at.

well we need two new left backs, with town releasing their retained list, jake carroll, jon stead, danny carr, gerrard amongst the released.

harding has always seem to me as the weaker out of the two, between he and fox. but he would be the cheaper option in the sense that he would be more willing to come and challenge for a place with whoever, rather than fox who would i imagine demand to start.

other clubs will soon be releasing their retained list so it is well worth looking as there could be some bargains to be had!

I'd be sniffing around any club that has fallen foul of FFP. Forest, L666s, QPR etc.
They won't be able to buy anyone and will look to offload a lot of players next season. Could be a few bargains to be had.

Think some of them were only penalised to the end of this season Shep as far as recruiting players were concerned. QPR will likely be shedding players when they come down because the League has had to bide their time with them. The contracts that some will be on (that 'Appy 'Arry always said he had nothing to do with) could be eye watering. Will have to see who is out of contract.

It'll be interesting to see what happens to QPR, they've yet to reach a settlement over FFP from the last tour of the Championship

Jamie Paterson? He signed a new 4 and a half year contract last season. I'd love him here though, always impressed me when I've seen him.
