Villa want Tony Pulis!

I'm really glad someone has finally appointed Sherwood - I genuinely want to see how good he is. If he keeps the Vile up, that's impressive. And if he doesn't, ahahahaha.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pulis 'Hoofball' returned before too long.

Really?

Looked more like Barca than 'Stoke', today

Reading the opinions of Spurs writers on Sherwood, Villa may actually have appointed the one man worse at football management than Paul Lambert. Tales abound of square pegs in round holes (i.e. trying to turn Kyle Walker into a number 10), inability to organise a defence or select an adequate midfield, propensity to fall back on Redknapp-style buzzwords in interviews to disguise his ignorance about tactics, blaming players for everything that goes wrong, and getting out of jail every week because Adebayor suddenly hit a red-hot streak of form.

Please, please let this be the nail in the coffin.

I was extremely anti Sherwood being anywhere near our Club, however, I am overjoyed that he has found somewhere to show us just what we missed out on..... Whistle

Remember, one swallow doesn't make a Spring.... we played well against Swansea who Gary Monk said had an off-day. I wouldn't be surprised if Pulis 'Hoofball' returned before too long.
BaggieMan, you old cynic, you! As Squirrel Regis says, your half-empty glass needs topping up - in The Vine in March, between 20th and 28th if we're playing at home in that week. Be there.

More tea, vicar?

This Pulis to Villa talk was just paper talk. Look at our respective positions and playing squads. Villa are in more danger of going down, and we've got a better playing squad. Our goalkeepers are better, our defenders are better, our midfielders are better and our forwards are better.
Villa are also in deep debt to Randy Lerner unless he converts that debt into shares.

Did anyone see Villa v Leicester yesterday? Villa were awful in the first half, but after the break they were "much better" following Sherwoods half time intervention.Thats it then,Honeymoon period over for Tim.Would be nice to draw them away in the Cup methinks!

I have been trying to understand the thought process that culminated in him being appointed and have come to the conclusion there wasn't one. Delighted.
Bonum vinum laetificat cor hominis.
