Bruce should of his own volition resign even to save face. Lai would understand that, and he should as well.
As I've said on a couple of occassions, Bruce has lost the dressing room, and if you have that, the players are not playing for him even though we mostly have most possession in most games.
JUST GO, retire, and enjoy your life playing scrabble.
No manager would ever resign these days, and nor should they, there is no loyalty to them by clubs so its a two way street these days. Bruce has to go, as an outsider I can see that but he has a contract and the club will need to pay him off if they want him gone. With Lai being invisible and making seriously dodgy loans and dividend payments I am not sure he will allow the club to pay off Bruce. I listen to a podcast called The Price of Football and they were talking about the financial situation at the club a week or so ago and they were concerned over your current situation.
I agree. When a contract is signed and agreed, then it should be honoured. This is Bruce’s employment and he has the right to see out that contract; if the Albion wish to dispense with his services (and most of us supporters would prefer that), then he should be dismissed and paid compensation for the contract he’s unable to fulfil. He cannot be expected to just walk away for the good of the club and it’s supporters

I never said he shouldn't be paid compensation, I said he should resign to save face, as this will not bode well if he wanted another manager's job - which I'd be surprised if he even wanted to following Newcastle and us.
Are there any other Lai's in our leagues doing the same as him, or are we the unlucky .....?

I’m sure conversations have taken place, Baggiebob. My concern is that we don’t have the money for the compensation. According to most reports we seem pretty skint and the owner has no intention of funding anything. Bruce may end up staying by default; the only upside to that would be the avoidance of another catastrophic appointment to complement the current one.

Baggiesteve, he has signed a contract, I have signed a contract, he like me is an employee employed to do a job. If I fail to do my job, if i bring my employer into disrepute or for a number of other reasons I would be sacked, I would not get compensation, it would be a P45 and nothing else.
He is an employee that has failed to do the job he was employed to do, he is damaging his employers business and risk their future sales and profitability. How is he any different to you or I, why should bad managers take jobs, damage clubs, annoy the customers (supporters) and then walk away with millions of pounds.
If he was doing a decent job but not a great job and was fired then that would be a different story.
He is failing, the football is not getting results, the players are not motivated, it should be a case of the sack and no compensation.

I share your frustration 4Eva but the Albion are subject to employment law like every other employer. Unless you’ve committed an offence that would be termed “gross misconduct” within your organisation’s disciplinary procedure that would result in summary dismissal without notice, a poor performance should be taken through such procedure, usually with warnings etc. If your company wanted to get rid of you, they could offer you a package and probably an NDA, thus bypassing the disciplinary procedure but that is fraught with danger for the company.
I don’t think Bruce is any different. He has a contract that is subject to the law and both parties have to abide by it. If one wishes to terminate early, it costs them.
I feel like you, I wish he’d just go but, if we sack him without compensation, his lawyers would be all over it like a rash
