Pereira is very left field. Looking at his career he has spent most of his time as an Assistant including at Watford and Fulham. He was Assistant Director of Football Operations at Fulham. I don't know much else about him.

If we want left field then we would be mad not to take a look at David Guion. The work he has done with Stade Reims in getting them to Ligue 1, keeping them there for a couple of seasons and a qualification for European football is outstanding.

It’s the China link that will suit them all. They have seen him in action locally and so rate him.

A pure gamble but it might pay off.

On a point from Mr. Pereira, these is a thought it could be the other one?

Vitor Pereira - He last worked as the manager of Chinese Super League club Shanghai Port F.C.

Agree with Stairs - if the Chinese Godfathers have identified him and want him, he's a-coming....

Looks as if we're fishing in exactly the same waters as Fulham will be, judging by rumours. Let's see if we can move quickly, for a change.

It wouldn't surprise me if Vitor Pereira has been considered for the job. His last work was in China with Shanghai Port and he won the Super League in 2018.

I wouldn't be overly keen on him though because he has become a journeyman since leaving Porto in 2013. He has been in Saudi Arabia, Greece, Turkey, a terrible spell in Germany where he took 1860 Munich down to the 3. Bundesliga, and then China.

Lazy journalism maybe, but Scott Parker now being linked.

Also talk that we're not going to replace Dowling and revert to an "old fashioned" type manager..... which I personally would prefer (sorry Josh).

Valerien Ismael - is the target now it seems with Albion seeking permission to talk to him. £2m compensation though and I though Lai had short arms and deep pockets.
