Johny Rocks!! Was Whaddon Road in my day!
The days of Steve Cotterill's tenure were certainly a golden era, eh?
Still is Whaddon Road to many of us drewks but, with different sponsors, it seems to change its name every season or so.
A couple of years back it was inappropriately called "The World of smiles" stadium and I tell you we didn't have much to smile about then.
Steve Cotterill era is too early for me but, in Michael Duff we have another potentially great young Manager. He was part of Cotterill's team back in 1999 and apparently scored the goal that ensured CTFC's promotion to the football league for the very first time.
Until recently he worked at Burnley as number two to Sean Dyche and last season replaced Gary Johnson as Manager when we were in the relegation zone.

Really interesting comments here from their HC Nathan Jones talking about the mentality of his players.

Just emphasises to me that if you have a squad of maybe 'average' players with a real team ethos it will always be better than a squad of egotistical, self driven players whose only/main interest is their career
McClean took his goal well (remember him?)
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

Agree 100% NWB, something our club should be very proud of; something that should be the norm but sadly isn't.
Actually tho I wasn't meaning to go down that path - just the one that says that coaches that recognise the value of players with TRUE team spirit, above individuals with lots of skill but egos to match, will most often be more successful

SUBSTITUTION
Germany 5-1 Northern Ireland
A decent evening's work for Serge Gnabry. A hat-trick in the bag and now he trots off to a fantastic reception to be replaced by Bayer Leverkusen's Nadiem Amiri for his third international appearance.
...... say no more!!

The lad seems to be scoring goals all over the place; sadly not at the Shrine.
Pulis you have a lot to answer for.
