There should be no pressure on a new manager coming in, as nobody expects Town to stay up. Chris Coleman would be a good shout as far as I'm concerned, but David Moyes just might be better suited for the job in hand.

Apparently its not siewert and might not be jokanovic

Really wouldn't wish Chris Coleman on you if you saw how tactically naive he was at Sunderland, neither him or Moyes could get Sunderland scoring enough , the latter is very safety first and it`s goals in the net you need
Long term a foreign manager like John Van den Brom who leaves AZ Alkmaar at the end of the season and may end up at Utrecht wouldn't be bad but not suddenly thrown into a relegation battle, same with someone like Phillip Cocu who has pedigree elsewhere but I believe needs a pre-season before jumping into English football. It`s a good thing no-ne has suggested Steve Bruce(!) But someone with experience of the Premiership/English leagues even til the end of the season when a long term appointment could be made Craig Shakespeare?

Dont anyone suggest nigel pearson or craig Shakespeare. Ones a mad egotist and the other is a good coach but poor manager
How about Martin Schmidt?
Swiss Coach who did good work with Mainz and then did a decent job with Wolfsburg but lacked goals. The style of play is best described as balanced.

I'm sorry about Huddersfield's current position and very sorry about the mutual decision for David Wagner to depart. He would probably have taken you down this season, but I'd have backed him to get you back up. No one in their right minds would have rated your promotion prospects when he came, but you are where you are on merit. And having lived in Huddersfield and having achieved my only sending-off ever (in any sport) at Salendine Nook (after being nutted by a martial arts midget!), I'm genuinely fond of the place.
Me? Everyone will say I'm mad, but if I were you I'd snap up Gary Rowett till the end of the season. I still think he could do big things, but he has been both unlucky and has made some poor career choices. It'd be a roll of the dice for both parties but if it came off or turned turtle, hey at least you've not lumbered yourself with an expensive foreigner on a long-term contract, who you'll then allow to do next season's recruitment, before you accept that you've got the equivalent of former Chesterfield super-manager Gary Caldwell. You've got to have next season in mind and the last thing you want to do is to be starting out under a guy who came up with two wins and a couple of lucky draws between January and May.

I think he disillusioned with the whole shebang, devon. I don't think he's fallen out with the club and wants to abandon us, so to speak.

I'd say he is fed up with nobhead officials (yes, you lot, the 3 blind mice and your mate on the half-way line with the white stick) who bend over backwards to give the top sides all the key decisions and the bottom clubs all the ridiculously poor ones. Would that penalty at Cardiff have been changed if it was given to any of any of the current top 6 at their home ground or even away? Not in a month of Sundays. I might have overlooked it but I can't even see on Sky's website where dithering Dermot has commented on it. Meaning? Didn't want to question his former colleagues' decision? Considering it was one of the main talking points of the weekend, how did it get overlooked? Whether he did in his Sky programme or not I've no idea as I've not seen it, but the website is usually a transcript of the programme.
Other than that, it's brain dead centre forwards hiding at the far post instead of making runs to the near post where they might just get on the end of a cross (yes, you Steve Mounié) and maybe do the thing they are paid for (score goals). That amongst many other things have frustrated the hell out of him this season and last so I don't blame him for saying he wants a rest. Give him a few weeks when the FA can no longer get their claws into him and he'll say what he's been thinking and has had to bite his tongue about for so long. Other than that, beat the Blue Mancs on Sunday and name the new boss. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I wouldn't pay any of the one's some are mentioning above in washers frankly (the failed Brits). Most play dire football and it isn't the slightest bit effective more than half the time. Big Sam and others are good at getting teams with defensive issues sorted out. They are clueless to a man when it comes to getting goals. We don't get hammered on a regular basis so we don't need any of that lot thank you very much.
A guide to cask ale.
