Sad day - I said earlier in the season the only problem I have with him is his style doesn't create/result in enough goals. It might do with better forwards but hell, we paid enough for the two lads up front to miss as many chances as they did in the first couple of months.
It's been a blast for as long as he's been here, a complete breath of fresh air from the merry go round of failed British Managers/Coaches and I never in my wildest dreams thought we'd be back in the mix with the big boys again, having last been there as I left junior school to go play with the big boys (and girls

). Deano was only trying to achieve mid-table mediocrity in the Chumpionship when he set him on and look where we ended up.
I wish the bloke well wherever he goes and whatever he does. He's allowed many of us that were there in an almost deserted Cowshed, or elsewhere in the ground in the depths of the old 4th Division, when Town recorded their lowest ever league gates, to live the dream.
Big Sam doesn't need our brass and we don't need a mercenary like him with what he thinks is football. We don't need to play League 1 style hoofball for the last few months and still go down anyway. He'll be wanting what we paid Wagner in two seasons for effectively 2 months work and then sod off into the sunset when the inevitable happens. At the moment it's just paper talk, let's hope it stays that way.
Wouldn't be surprised if Deano looks abroad again. Despite the result on Saturday I booked my ticket for Chelski on the way home from Cardiff on Saturday.
