I'd just say look where we are NOW as opposed to 10 years ago. We are now a (pretty much) established PL club, very solvent  and very unlikely to be relegated.

Hundreds of thousands of supporters would gladly be in our position.

End of?  Huh

Totally agree Drewks, I just hate the premier league, for us it will be a long slow road to build up sufficient independent non tv money to push on to the upper reaches ...... just had a thought ...... stoke, a similar sized club have been in prem longer than us, started off with Pulis, now just starting to bother the top ten with better football. There is hope yet.

I agree that the priority is staying in the Premier League. I like seeing good players turn out for us against the biggest clubs, neither of which we would see in the Championship. However I think it's a very disingenuous argument to say that Pulis is a necessary sacrifice for this to happen; there are quite a few clubs in no danger of relegation that play much better football than us on a similar budget, and even with Pulis we're definitely not safe! That rhetoric is simply a false dichotomy. You're all correct that we haven't got the biggest budget in the league so I think it's pretty clear that we can't afford to give Pulis another transfer window to sign more expensive dross, which is what he did at Stoke and what he did last summer. I can't blame JP for not giving TP any more money in January.

Nice one Beefy but AFTER my time methinks. Coloured printing hadn't been invented in the days when Derek Kevan was my hero.

Where does colour come from? (as in colour print, paint, dye, etc). Will the World ever run out? Serious question. Will Albion play Villa in varying shades of grey one day?
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

I remember buying Shoot magazine but long before we were in the old Third Division, I'm sure! That's how old I am.

Very mid point as far as my football history goes. As said - Black & White, Billies Boots, Sportsnight with Coleman - they were the days - proper football, grass roots stuff etc.
