I can't work out what to make of Bartley.  His performance in the second half was immense, everything you want from a centre half. That said all the back four were excellent in the second half. I agree about Gibbs putting the performance that someone with his ability and experience should be putting in every week, and Snodgrass is going to offer that bit extra with his commitment.
I thought Robinson put in a shift today especially the defensive side of his game, and HRK did what was needed when he came on.
I know Pereira scored two (penalties) but I've got to say I thought he looked disinterested and offered little.
But all in all, I won't get carried away by this result, but I'm going to have a very happy weekend.

Fully agree about Pereira. For me he needs to up his fitness and work rate to prove that he is as a Premier League player. He was good for the first 10 - 15 mins and largely anonymous thereafter, bar the penalty.

My doubts about him came last season when he was unable to affect key games. The doubts have continued this year, because he doesn't really look like he's willing to break sweat for the cause. I don't doubt his ability though as he is our most likely player to pick a key pass. He does need to do more though if he wants to be a regular at this level.

You're right that Robbo is a great example. Always busts his gut for the case. Worked hard from up top and was smart enough to go down for the penalty. Just a shame he was stretching too much for our best chance so he was unable to pick his spot.
Sorry cannot agree next to Bartley Pereira was MoM I think I will take Hoddle’s opinion on this one was involved in anything good going forward. Robinson was excellent yes, but he’s not in the Pereira class anyway we should not be moaning we have just beat them Dingles again. We have also climbed back towards the pack.

Only just seen the goals and not sure how we got that first pen. But about time we got some luck with VAR.

Just need to get in touch with all my Dingle contacts in case they need some support.

Both we’re definitely penalty’s and beautifully put away and a great header from Ajayi. For most parts an excellent performance just have to get better at set piece defending.

Good question, and I don't know how I'd have felt about it at the beginning of the season. But I do know that for the six weeks or so since I accepted relegation as a strong probability, I'd have strapped a basket of Wuhan bats to my face if it meant going unbeaten against the Wofflers.

Not moaning, chuffed with the win as can't stand the dingles! Thumb up

As for Pereira, I just think he needs to do more. Wolves first goal he should've cleared and then fell over trying to win a free kick which subsequently played Silva onside. Not doubting the natural talent, but outside of the first 10 minutes he only really did one thing of note which was the pass to Robinson for his chance 2nd half. I think Hoddle based his man of the match on goals alone.

Just think he can improve massively if he is able to do a bit more off the ball! Nothing wrong with striving to get better.

Gibbs, Bartley, Snodgrass and Robbo were the outstanding performers for me.

Tough one...

If fans were there, quite possibly.

I don't know if it's just me, but derby victory don't taste quite so sweet without fans (the same way defeat wasn't so bitter against Villa). Without fans I'd probably sooner be in Wolves position. That said, it feels like compensation for a bad start to the season. Maybe a derby victory could be the kickstart we need?

Only saw the game on MOTD, damnit - how did Grosicki do? Would like to see him stick around myself.
Interesting that we got a gutsy performance WITHOUT Gallagher who's probably been our one outstanding midfielder.

Its a toughie game tonight with the other West who's in the South playing well at home - I believe 8 wins at home - With Gallagher available for tonight's game aginst the Sham, do you expect them to play as well as against Wolves? Huh Huh Huh

No Robert Snodgrass tonight and West Brom boss Sam Allardyce says that is because of an agreement as part of the terms of his move from West Ham.

Allardyce told BT Sport: "That was an agreement between the clubs that this game he would not be allowed to play. We could only get the deal done with that agreement."

Johnstone
O'Shea - Ajayi - Bartley - Gibbs
Livermore - Sawyers
Gallagher - Pereira - Grosicki
Robinson

That's strange agreement considering they are in 9th and 18 points ahead of us. We're not exactly positional rivals.

If it was a loan then ok but he signed on an 18 month contract.

Agree, I don't understand this. I always find it strange that a club is quite prepared to loan - or in this case - sell us a player who is clearly not in their future plans but seem to have some concern that he'll play well against them. If he's that good, why are you releasing him?
