You didn't miss much
It was an in game tactic to use the FAC to give some of the first team a 30 minute run out. To prepare for a league game. That's a new one on me - congratulations on GJ & DM on trying something new. The management genius is brilliant, went straight over my head tbh.
And going to a back 3 was a double bluff, using Townend and Mears as wing backs was inspiring. Worked a treat.
