Morecambe have reappointed Derek Adams for a third spell as manager following Ged Brannan's move to Accrington Stanley.
Brannan left the Shrimps to join Stanley as assistant to John Doolan in April.
He had taken over initially as caretaker when Adams left for Ross County in November, but will now be replaced by the 48-year-old Scot at the League Two club.
"There is a lot of work to be done over the transfer window to get ready for the start of the new season, and I know the board of directors were looking for a manager who knows the football club and how it works," Adams said., external
"I’m delighted to come back and try and help the football club move forward again.
"This will come not only through myself, my staff, and the players, but the supporters of the football club as well who have been through a really difficult period."

For any Chesterfield fans still breathing - the left back problem is solved, or is it?
An agreement has been reached with Lewis Gordon for the left-back to join the Spireites on a one-year deal, with the option to extend in the club’s favour, following the expiry of his contract at Bristol Rovers.
The 23-year-old played 22 times in League One last season for Rovers.
After agreeing to join the Spireites in a deal which is subject to approval from the relevant authorities, Gordon said: “I’m delighted to be here, it’s a great club to come and be part of.
“The manager has spoken to me and given me confidence; I can’t wait to get going.
“It’s a club on the up. I have no doubts that I can progress here and be part of something special.
“I’m still only young and have lots to learn and I feel this is a place I can do that under a good manager and lots of good coaches.
“I’m looking forward to meeting the fans too – it seems like a fantastic fan base. I can’t wait to get going.”

Hull City have appointed former Hamburg boss Tim Walter as their new head coach on a three-year deal.
Walter will officially take charge on 1 July subject to obtaining a visa.
The 48-year-old German replaces Liam Rosenior after leaving Hamburg earlier this year, having previously taken charge of Stuttgart and Holstein Kiel.
Hull finished seventh in the Championship this season and Rosenior was sacked after not reaching the play-offs, despite being nominated for the Championship's manager of the year award.
Hull owner and chairman Acun Ilicali, who said Rosenior's departure was down to a "difference of opinion" over the team's style of football, described Walter as the "outstanding candidate" and praised his footballing philosophy.
"Tim was always our first choice. We had many strong applicants and wanted to be thorough in our recruitment process, but it quickly became clear that Tim was the outstanding candidate," Ilicali told the club website., external
“Our discussions were detailed and productive in planning for this season and I am encouraged about how we can work together to the benefit of our club.
"I believe in Tim’s philosophy and in doing so, I am hopeful that over the forthcoming season he can continue our positive progress and upward trajectory."

Cheltenham Town have appointed Michael Flynn as their new manager.
Flynn, 43, has been out of work since losing his job as Swindon Town manager in January.
He lost 10 of his final 15 matches in charge at the County Ground having taken over last summer.
Flynn spent more than four years in charge of Newport County from October 2017 and had 14 months as manager at Walsall before being sacked in November 2023.
He replaces Darrell Clarke at Whaddon Road after the former Robins boss left the club to take over at League One side Barnsley following their relegation to League Two at the end of last season.
Flynn joins the club a week after former manager Gary Johnson returned to become director of football.

Average record at the Gills
Barrow have appointed Stephen Clemence as head coach on a two-year contract.
The League Two side parted ways with former manager Pete Wild after missing out on a play-offs spot by a single point during 2023-24.
The 46-year-old began his managerial career with Hull City's under-21s in 2012 before taking his first permanent senior position at Gillingham in 2023.
He was sacked by the Gills in April having won only 12 of his 34 matches while in charge of the club as they finished 12th and six points off a play-off place.
During his playing career, Clemence turned out for Tottenham Hotspur, Birmingham City and Leicester City.
He won the League Cup with Spurs in 1998 and automatic promotion from the Championship with Blues in 2007, and later retired from playing in 2010.
Barrow narrowly missed out on the play-offs this season, dropping out of the top seven on the final day to eventually finish eighth in the table.
It was a disappointing end to the campaign under Wild's stewardship, as they went without a win in their final seven games and lost on five occasions during that period.

The son of former Fleetwood Town owner Andy Pilley has taken over the Lancashire club after the English Football League (EFL) finalised the deal.
Willows 96 Holdings Ltd has purchased 98% of the shareholding in the club with Jamie Pilley as the sole shareholder.
He takes over after his father Andy was sentenced to 13 years in prison for fraud in July 2023.
The EFL said Jamie Pilley had been given a suspended three-month ban to act as a club director due to the circumstances surrounding the events leading up to Thursday's ownership change.
