Lets make that Here We Go Again shall we?
Trying to find a version that will play embedded is like trying to find a dentist. So I've just added the longest live version I could find. With 2 bonus tracks
Once again it's time to turn your pockets out or tip the sofa arse over apex on the carpet, or your floor covering of choice, sawdust worked for many for donkey's years. We are after your old coins, White Fivers, Scottish Tenners (do they exist?) and left over Yorkshire gilt from the days of the Coiners. We don't ask for much, hell a few lumps of Wensleydale or even Lancashire's finest cheese will do. We want to put some nuitricious breakfasts into some kids bellies before they start school, keep the Yorkshire Air Ambulance in the air (you never know when some numpty might wipe you out) or add funds to the Lee Sinnott 25 Foundation, after he was taken far too young enjoying himself on a night out, to make sport accessible for those less privileged than many of us. Just pick some Town players, or players for teams that play against us, and go for goals, points, cards, whatever.
I retrieved ritchies pledge from last season (I think), I've thrown in my starter for ten, I may add to it later but as 10CC might once have said - Whatchayou gonna do about it, whatchayou gonna do?

Sheffield United
Deepdale 9/8/2024 20.00hrs
So here I am once more
In the playground of the broken hearts
One more experience, one more entry
In a diary, self penned
Yet another emotional suicide
Overdosed on sentiments and pride *
THE VIEW FROM THE SEATS
Season 55 kicks off on Friday for me, really should know better, expectation is zero, five straight defeats at the end of last season without a goal and first up relegated Premier League club, and it's on the telly box, Arana for those desperate to avoid Plastics v Direby on the main channel.
Promise of getting all the players they wanted in early doors has proved as usual to be nonsense, two in, lots of irons in the fire, must be red hot by night. We still need wing backs if he is playing the wing back system, it's been three years and we still haven't got them in.
General disenchantment with the club reached peak this week when they cancelled the local shuttle buses to the home games, thye soon backtracked on that we now have some shuttle buses running, They changed the ticket site, we now have Ticketmaster, not saying it's shite but it's shite.
Even worse Lowe is still manager.
Ticket bought for first away game as I valiantly attempt to go to every match this season, here we go.

![[Image: Screenshot-2024-08-04-101527.png]](https://i.ibb.co/NWSR48F/Screenshot-2024-08-04-101527.png)
Christopher John Wilder (born 23 September 1967) is an English professional football manager who formerly played as a right-back. He is the manager of EFL Championship club Sheffield United.
Wilder's extensive professional playing career saw spells at Sheffield United (twice), Rotherham United, Notts County, Bradford City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Halifax Town. He also had loan spells at five clubs.
After retiring, he became a manager and was in charge of Alfreton Town, Halifax Town (their last manager before liquidation), Oxford United, Northampton Town, Sheffield United, Middlesbrough and Watford. He won promotion from the Conference Premier with Oxford via the play-offs in 2010, from League Two as champions with Northampton in 2016, from League One with Sheffield United as champions in 2017, and from the Championship with the same club two years later. He is currently manager, for the second time, of Sheffield United.

St Mirren v Hibs - Sunday 4 August |

Here we go again, happy as can be - for now at least. Hibs travel to Paisley tomorrow to take on a St Mirren side on a high after their 4-1 win against Valur on Thursday night.
I'm not expecting too much from this match, which will follow the usual pattern from Hibs. Our team will be markedly different from last season, but not necessarily much better. We need another couple of attacking players and it seems our defence is settled, although not strong in depth, so a point will be a great result.

2 points for correct result
4 points for correct score
2 points for each correct scorer
Correct joker doubles your score (correct score on a joker would give you 8 points)
Wrong joker result gives you minus 2
Correct Badger gives you 2 points
The prize for winning the league is one rep point.
Cup games: In the event of a draw, it's half the points if you've predicted a draw when it gets to 90 mins and the full points if it's still a draw after extra time. Half the points will be awarded for correctly predicting the winner of the match if it goes to penalties. However, if you do predict a draw and it's a match that won't be going to a replay, you can get a possible extra point by stating which of the two teams you think will eventually win.
Random score generator: I will be using the random score generator again for those who miss predicting, so we shouldn't get some people too far behind that after missing a couple of weeks they lose all interest, because I know it's not easy getting on here every week.
To be fair to everybody, this is going to be like, say if three people in one week miss their predictions, the first one in the table will be given all 0-0, the second one down the line will get 1-0 and the third will get 0-1 and so on, like if there's four missing the 4th will get 1-1, then 5th 2-1, 6th 1-2. and if there are so many missing, might as well pack in.
And if you miss two weeks on the trot, I'll stop until you come back on again. Not doing it for half a season like I did t'other year.
At the end of the season, the winner of group 2 and the bottom of group 1 will swap places in what is commonly known as "promotion" and "relegation". It's something that most football fans will be familiar with, unless you're a fan of Liverpool or Arsenal or one of those other fashionable clubs.
The second placed player in group 2 will then have a play off with the player who finishes second from the bottom in group 1 to decide whether they will be going up, down or staying where they are.
We're going to have two seasons in one though, just to try and make it a bit more interesting and not so long drawn out. The first season will end on the Boxing Day fixtures, with the play offs being on the dates of the Twixtmas fixtures and the NYD fixtures.
The second season will start the following week, which is usually the FA Cup 3rd round, finishing on the last game of the League One season. Then another period of relegation/promotion play off games, taking in such fixtures as the EFL play offs, FA Cup Final, UEFA finals and such like.
Each group will have it's own set of fixtures. Both groups will have the Town games, with scorers to predict as before. Then it will be a split of League One fixtures and bonus matches, hopefully around ten, eleven or twelve games per Matchday.
The random badger is restricted to three goal scorers in any of the fixtures in your group.
Here's how that will appear at the end of the fixture list. All you have to do is fill in the blanks.......
*** scores for ***
*** scores for ***
*** scores for ***
Any of those will score two points if correct. No minus points for getting it wrong.
Postponed matches will only count if the match is re-played before the next Matchday is under way. Abandoned matches will be awarded half the points for the score at the time of abandonment, so 1 point if you have the correct result, 2 points if you have the correct score.
Substitute or scorer in one of the Town games:- These will be only be allowed if you change them before the match involved has kicked off.

Anybody else reading this, who wants to join in, let us know. We're a very welcoming crowd and despite the lengthy looking rules at the top of the page, it's really a simple game to play. Just predict the scores. That's all you have to do.
You'll have to start in the 2nd Division though.

Only seen the headline,
Leicester coach Craig Shakespeare has died aged 60.
My condolences to his friends and family.
Can vaguely remember him at Albion, can’t remember if he was good or average. Still very sad and very young.

August is here. The season is nearly upon us.
It seems to me that we are too small to continue on here. Matt is young and must have a life to live. Salts went on holiday, hope he is okay. Dancing is in Spain if not imprisoned in a caravan in Leek, and me I'm old and unable to get myself together to leave Devon ..........
I'll keep accessing Huddersfield's pages taking part in Snoots competitions, but that is it. It has been great.

Wow!
I live too far away but have dreamt often of retirement and having a season ticket to watch matches in the future. But you are better off having an away season ticket than a home one!
What do you guys with a season ticket think of this latest situation.
The Blue stripes replacing Navy seems less of an issue.
