Experienced left back signed on loan from Peterborough ......... Age 24. Peterborough well-known for being unable to defend. Darren Ferguson lets you go, that has to be a positive.

Apparently we are chasing promotion. Obviously we are using a whole new stealth approach.

Just a personal view but I wish they had loaned us young Nevett who they bought from Rochdale ...... with maybe an option to buy should they decide to discard (which is after all one of their major policies - they do gamble in the market in the young-player market and are not quite as patient as they might be.)

Sounds like he had a good game yesterday. Got himself into good positions but no end product. Maybe we can do something with him longer term.
Was surprised we played a back 4 that had never played together with Grimes the only survivor from our regulars.
Shoot me down if you want but as far as I'm concerned our problem isn't defending (ok it can be poor but we are no worse than most in this league) it's lack of goals and opportunities.
It now seems we have a bid in for Dobra. Maybe we can make use of Hobson who despite some good games ended up benched. Madden seems to be what we thought - past it. Colclough just isn't hacking it ATM .
Let's see what happens but if someone doesn't start hitting the back of the net soon we won't be anywhere near the playoffs.

Have to say it looks as though if we lose Dobra we need to start counting the points to relegation safety. He is far and away our best player.

As soon as Vale went down to ten men I knew we couldn't win.

Our problem is two defensive midfielders at home. We still had 74% possession and 17 efforts on goal. Markanday pushed up and supported whoever was up front and gave us scoring chances. Dobra can't do it alone. We've sold Berry who could also do it. That leaves no option but to play Drummond, let him play how he wants which will do what we need and keep him on for 90 minutes. He WAS playing at a level where he could be himself. Now we are tying him down.

A defencer which concedes in the first two minutes at home doesn't inspire me though .....
