2 points for a correct result
4 points for a correct score
2 points for each correct scorer
Correct joker doubles your score
Wrong joker result gives you minus 2
Correct Random Badger gives you 2 points
The random badger is used for any random prediction used once in each matchday sequence. For instance, a scorer at a particular match, the number of red cards in the matches or yellow cards or own goals or owt you want really within reason, I do need to be able to check whether it's correct or not. Please don't put stuff like....."Commentator says...."
The joker is played for one match in each sequence and if correct you get double points. So if you've predicted 1-0 and it finishes 2-0, you get 4 pts, but if you've predicted 2-0, that's 8 pts. But if you get it wrong, it's minus 2.
Jokers and badgers are optional. You don't have to play one if you don't want.
Cup games:
In the event of a draw, it's half the points if you've predicted a draw when it gets to 90 mins and the full points if it's still a draw after extra time. Half the points will be awarded for correctly predicting the winner of the match if it goes to penalties. Similarly with the badger, if your random prediction is affected by this, it'll be half the points.
Random score generator: I will be using the random score generator again for those who miss predicting, so we shouldn't get some people too far behind that after missing a couple of weeks they lose all interest, because I know it's not easy getting on here every week.
To be fair to everybody, this is going to be like, say if three people in one week miss their predictions, the first one in the table will be given all 0-0, the second one down the line will get 1-0 and the third will get 0-1 and so on, like if there's four missing the 4th will get 1-1, then 5th 2-1, 6th 1-2. and if there are so many missing, might as well pack in.
And if you miss two weeks on the trot, I'll stop until you come back on again. Not doing it for half a season like I did t'other year.
NEW FOR THIS SEASON: End of season Play Offs.
The one who finishes top of the league will still be champion, but after the season finishes there will be Play Offs between the top 4, with 1st v 4th and 2nd v 3rd. This will take in stuff like the EFL Play Offs, FA Cup Final, final day of Prima Donna League, European Finals etc. It will be one matchday for the semis and one for the Final. It will be the individual scores for each matchday against the allotted opponent, with some kind of tie breaker for a drawn match.
So last season's matches would've been Baggiebob(BBB) v theo_luddite and jjamez v St Charles Owl and would've given a bit more to play for towards the back end of the season.
The prize for winning will be enormous. Another rep point.
We now have an Appeals Committee set up, consisting of me, myself and I. All appeals must be made before the next Matchday kicks off.

THE MATCH
TUESDAY 26TH APRIL KO 7:45 PM
v ![[Image: c8f0e1f02feea03b72811b4b50c0f4c0--britis...nesday.jpg]](https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/c8/f0/e1/c8f0e1f02feea03b72811b4b50c0f4c0--british-football-sheffield-wednesday.jpg)
LAST MATCH
CHOKE, CHOKE, COUGH, SPLUTTER. Well the game went as most of us expected, a chance to keep our auto spot going went down the plug hole and back outside playoffs as we lost to Wycombe. We started on the front foot and had a goal disallowed, wrongly imo, and after that we huffed and puffed for the rest of the match. Wycombe were as we expected, using the dark arts to perfection. It's not pretty to watch but it works for them. They got the only goal of the match as they broke away and squared for Obita to score, he got the equaliser at Hillsborough earlier in the season. Paterson had our best chance to level but showed why he isn't a striker
THE MATCH
So onto Fleetwood and I suppose a must win game. They are battling to stay in the division so wont make it easy for us. There leading scorer is Gerard with 7 goals but he wasn't in the starting line-up against Wimbledon. A win for Fleetwood would make them safe as they have a superior GD to Gillingham in 21st place. We did beat these earlier in the season 1-0 and another win is a must, while a defeat would take things out of our hands going into the final game on Saturday. One final thing, Fleetwood haven't won for 5 games

FORM GUIDE
PNE 7 ROVERS 3
LAST TIME OUT
Team News
Skipper Alan Browne and striker Emil Riis, who both missed the trip to Fulham through injury, are on the grass but will need to be assessed ahead of this fixture.
Ched Evans is also a doubt, having been forced off at Craven Cottage with a toe ligament injury.
Patrick Bauer missed out through an Achilles problem, but the defender should be in contention on Monday night.
The Opposition
After a strong first half to the season, Rovers appeared well in the race for automatic promotion, but their attempts have slowed down in recent matches.
Two victories in their last 15 games has seen them drop out of the Play-Off spots and, with everybody else playing before Monday evening, they could arrive at Deepdale six points away from sixth place if results don't go in their favour.
Defender Tayo Edun will be back in contention for this fixture after serving a suspension last week, while Tony Mowbray is hopeful of being able to call upon Bradley Dack who was injured in the half-time warm-up last Monday.
Key Stats
Ben Brereton Diaz, now a regular for Chile, is responsible for scoring almost 40% of Rovers’ goals this season, having netted 21 in the Championship.
Most of Blackburn’s points this term have come at Ewood Park, with Tony Mowbray’s side arriving at Deepdale winless in their previous nine away fixtures.
Three points for PNE would see them reach their final points tally (61) from the 2020/21 campaign, with two games to go.
Our Last Victory
PNE's last three points against Rovers came at Ewood Park in February 2021, as a stunning opener from Greg Cunningham followed by Liam Lindsay's first goal for the club was enough to earn the three points, despite Adam Armstrong's goal from the penalty spot.
Man In The Middle
Jeremy Simpson is the man with the whistle for Monday night’s Lancashire derby.
Simpson has taken charge of two PNE games so far this season, with the most recent being the away victory at Stoke City in January, while he has refereed 16 North End matches in his career.
He has officiated 32 games this term, showing 122 yellow cards and seven reds, including two sendings off in his last three matches.
MACS VIEW
Probably my last home game of the season against a side who some of their supporters had thought they had won the league at Christmas, however in the real world they have slid down the table and are now six points behind the play off zone with only three games to go. The Chilean from Stoke On Trent has barely scored since Christmas and happy Tony has had meltdown galores in after match interviews, absolutely glorious.
Still living on memories since Cantona kung fu kicked a Palace fan which led them winning the Premiership, since then they have had delusions of grandeur.
Will look forward to making them even more irrelevent tomorrow night.
As far as I'm concerned this is the derby that matters, going back to when Uncle Jack flashed his funny money the area were I lived was split probably between the two clubs, when Jack arrived many part time North Enders suddenly became Plastics. never forgotten that still rankles to this day.

I must admit to a certain pleasure when the game I select as the gamball causes a certain amount of problems, so this week I would be sporting a large grin if it weren't for the memory of watching the first 45 minutes of Monday night's game (customer visits saved me from the 2nd half). For once everyone played the gamball and everyone lost points by doing so.
2 distinct groups in this week's table. 5 players managed to get to double figures (just) with the other 3 suffering from end of season fatigue - I know how you feel, I have to come up with this drivel for a couple more weeks yet. Sanjay heads the table by a single point ahead of Derby - at this rate Sanjay could actually catch him......by December. Derby's performance was good considering he lost 6 points from his bonus and gamball - he actually got the most number of correct results and, like Sanjay, 2 correct scores. It's Sanjay's positive bonus that sees him top.
BBB, Snooty and SCO share 3rd place with identical records - BBB with his highest score since week 24. all of them scored 3 points from the bonus but nothing on the score ball.
BaggieOne and Minizin both struggled to 3 points while Silver had a complete 'mare to achieve (?) his third negative score of the season.
Which brings to my stat for this week - everyone in the Premiership has now had at least 1 negative score but it's currently Snooty who holds the record with 4 such performances.
Derby 322
Sanjay 304
SCO 279
Minizin 278
Snooty 274
Silver 270
BBB 260
BaggieOne 227
AAA 79 ®
SCO will tell me how many weeks to go until the end of the regular season (I can't be bothered to work it out) but it seems like Derby's title to lose as Sanjay struggles to close the gap. Some shuffling took place below the top 2, SCO climbing 2 places to 3rd while Snooty climbed one place. Minizin dropped a place with Silver now back in 6th. BBB is only 10 points away from safety with the relegation play off place far from decided.
Zin
Championship
Stairs 17pts 2CS 3CR NPGB 6BB 1SB
Themaclad 13pts 2CS 3CR -3GB 3BB 1SB
Zinman 7pts 2CS 2CR -3GB -3BB 1SB
Blue Baggie 6pts 2CS 2CR -3GB -3BB 0SB
Salop 6pts 0CS 4CR NPGB -3BB 1SB
Twerton 6pts 1CS 2CR -3GB 3BB 1SB
Lady Jane 4pts 0CS 3CR -3GB 3BB 0SB
Dingle 3pts 0CS 4CR -3GB -3BB 1SB
Amelia 2pts 0CS 2CR NPGB -3BB 1SB
Not a great week in the Championship and as Zinman said above the Gamball cost everyone who played it three points!!! Stairs leads the way this week with 17 points. He needed a good week to close in on Blue in the title race and he got it. Two CSs and a spot on Bonus were the highlights of his week. Themaclad continues his imporvement in 2nd with 13 points, he scored on the same number of games as Stairs but missed on the Gamball and only got a CR on the bonus. Bit of a gap down to Zinman in 3rd with 7 points, missing on both the Bonus and Gamball will certainly shrink your score!!
Three players we joint 4th with 6 points, Blue, Salop and Twerton. They all got there is very different ways with a mixture of missed balls, CSs or no CSs and a score ball that proved vital for two of them.
Lady Jane is 7th with 4 points, won't help her much but as I have yet to mention Amelia she will put some points between them in the race for bottom place. Dingle is 8th with 3 points, his form has deserted him and mid-table mediocrity is currently his future!! Now I mention Amelia, she finished with 2 points and had it not been for her wise decision to not play the Gamball she would have been in negative territory.
316 - Blue Baggie
303 - Stairs
257 - Salop
257 - Zinman
247 - Themaclad
244 - Dingle
231 - Twerton
217 - Lady Jane
215 - Amelia
So the title is not yet over with Stairs closing the gap on Blue to 13 points. Salop and Zinman now share promotion play off spot, this one will go tot the wire it would seem. Themacalds sudden form puts him only 10 points back of them both, so maybe he isn't out of it yet either. Dingle and Twerton didn't go anywhere this week. Lady Jane moves 3 points clear of Amelia at the bottom but this fight isn't over yet either.
Cheers
SCO

After a last-gasp win over Blackpool, there were few if any positives to take from a long, hard slog at the City Ground on Easter Monday; a match which saw Albion muster only one shot on goal all game, and none at all after Darnell Furlong's 17th-minute red card. The result is that nothing short of a 100% win record in the three remaining matches will now give the Baggies even the slightest hope of scraping into the playoffs, and three wins on the bounce is something we haven't achieved since last August.
First we host Coventry on Saturday, in their first visit to the Hawthorns since a 1-0 defeat courtesy of Steven Reid in March 2010. They flirted with the playoffs earlier in the season, but have since sunk down to our level, and a win at the weekend would see us swap places. They're certainly no more consistent in their results than us, though they've won their last two on the road; nevertheless, it would be a poor showing if we can't find a result in this.
A trip to Reading follows, with the Royals at the moment still needing results to go their way in order to rubber-stamp survival at Peterborough's expense. Having won our first game at the Madejski at the ninth attempt in 2020, there should be no lingering curse to keep us from delivering a performance, but it may still end up being an all-or-nothing must-win clash for both sides. Fingers crossed for Reading reaching mathematical safety before then.
We finish the season, not for the first time, with already-relegated Barnsley joining us in B71. The previous times we capped a season with a Tykes visit, in 2007 and 2010, were a mixed bag: the latter resulted in a 1-1 draw, the former in the famous 7-0 thrashing that saw Kevin Phillips at his sizzling best and Robert Koren first hitting his stride in an Albion shirt. Not much likelihood of those kind of fireworks this time round, but on paper, it is another winnable game that there can't be an excuse for bungling.
Three wins and a whole lot of extra luck required. Even if it's too little and too late, Albion and Steve Bruce need to show up with something during this run-in, as the threadbare dog-ate-my-homework cop-outs just aren't enough to cut it with fans who've spent the last two years watching the club go backwards.
