Bolton Wanderers have signed left-back Jack Iredale on a three-year deal following his release by fellow League One side Cambridge United.
The 26-year-old left Cambridge at the end of the season after a two-year spell at the Abbey Stadium.
"I'm ambitious. I want to do well for this club and I want to do well like the club wants to do well," he said.
"There are some big teams in the division but Bolton is up there with the biggest, so it's a real honour."

Top scorer Vadaine Oliver is among nine players released following Gillingham's relegation to League Two.
The 30-year-old striker netted 10 league goals but was unable to keep the Gills in the third tier this season.
Defensive trio Ryan Jackson, Harvey Lintott and Christian Maghoma are also leaving Priestfield, along with experienced forward Mustapha Carayol.
Danny Lloyd, Gerald Sithole, Ben Thompson and goalkeeper Aaron Chapman complete the list of departures.
The Gills, whose nine-year spell in League One ended last month when they went down on goal difference, have just seven first-team players under contract.
However, the club have also offered new deals to defenders Robbie McKenzie and Jack Tucker, as well as 18-year-old midfield duo Bailey Akehurst and Josh Chambers.

Lewis Alessandra, Danny Devine, Mark Howard, Jamie Devitt, Manasse Mampala, Rod McDonald, Kelvin Mellor and Gime Toure have been released by Carlisle United at the end of 2021-22.
Forward Alessandra, 33, joined from Morecambe in 2020 and went on to make 86 appearances for the club.
He scored 12 goals during his time at Brunton Park, two of which came from his 26 appearances this season.
The club has also activated a further year in Morgan Feeney's contract.
The defender, 23, made 42 appearances this season, his breakout campaign after joining from Sunderland in January 2021.
Carlisle, who finished 20th in League Two in 2021-22, have also offered new deals to Taylor Charters, Brennan Dickenson, Magnus Norman and Joe Riley.

Milton Keynes Dons veteran Dean Lewington is to stay on at the League One club for a 19th season.
The 37-year-old son of former England assistant manager Ray Lewington will embark on his 21st season in the game.
Lewington, who began his career with Wimbledon in 2002, was then part of the team that relocated to Milton Keynes in 2003 before taking the name Milton Keynes Dons in 2004.
He has made 946 career appearances in league and cup matches.
Of those, he has made 739 for Dons in league games, to follow his 29 for Wimbledon - and he has a career goal haul of 28.
Lewington's extended deal was revealed during Sunday's 1-0 League One play-off second leg win over Wycombe Wanderers, which was not enough to overturn a 2-0 first-leg deficit to make the final.

Forward Jamie Walker will join Bradford City from Hearts on a two-year deal following a loan spell in the second half of this season.
Walker will make the switch when his current contract with the Scottish club expires next month.
The 28-year-old played 19 times for the Bantams in 2021-22, scoring four goals.
"He is a talented player and one who brings an awful lot to our side in terms of his character," said manager Mark Hughes.
"He has a good eye for goal, and wants to be a part of this club's success, so to have him tied down to a long-term contract is a huge boost for us."
Walker began his career at Tynecastle and returned to Hearts from Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2019.
He made eight appearances for them at the start of the campaign, but was then allowed to join Bradford - who finished 14th in League Two - in January.
"This was the only football decision I wanted to make, and I am delighted to be here permanently," he said.
"The manager has Premier League experience and the club is heading in the right direction."

At the end of the season you get teams going up celebrating, for two seasons in a row this has been denied due to the virus.
Here's Aaron Collins of Bristol Rovers a top a traffic light in Bristol, they have gone up after winning 7-0
He led the celebration into Bristol City Centre.
In the video it's dark and Collins is still in his match day kit 4 or 5 hours after the game finished, this is what the game is about, long may it continue

I forgot to mention Paul's appearances' milestone with HFC and six matches short of Willie Ormond's playing record. I don't know if he was given a special award by the club in recognition of that achievement before yesterday's match v the Dons, but well done to the skipper. It's amazing how time has "flown by" since the days when I can recall watching him playing for Hibs reserves when he was just a strapping young lad playing in the half-back position at an almost empty ER Stadium. I'm not sure where he fits in amongst the list of great Hibs CBs who graced the jersey down the years TBH? He certainly couldn't touch Frank Sauzee, Le God!! Also in big matches at Hampden, IMO he "choked" in a lotta them. One of my memorable moments linked to him must be his goal v Hertz at Tynecastle during Hibs historic Scot Cup winning season, 2015-16, and preceding the equalising second goal by Jason Cummings. Then he had a "stinker" of a semi-final v the Tangerines when Hibs heroic "roly-poly goalie", Conrad Logan, "saved his blushes" and played a huge part in getting Hibs to the final after a pk shootout. He played fairly well in the final v Rangers and finally picked up a Scot Cup winners medal. Ohhhh, happy days eh!!

AFC Wimbledon interim boss Mark Bowen has left Plough Lane for a job in a higher division.
The 58-year-old Welshman was put in charge after the Dons parted company with Mark Robinson on 29 March.
He oversaw their final seven matches of the season but could not save them from relegation to League Two.
"Mark will be taking a role at a club much higher up the pyramid which will be formally announced next week", said a statement on Wimbledon's website.
Bowen previously had spells coaching at Queens Park Rangers and Reading before moving to the Dons.
He said: "Eddie and I really enjoyed our time with the club and I would like to thank all the players and football staff for the open-minded and professional way they embraced us.
"Although results and luck didn't go our way, the players couldn't have given any more."

Scunthorpe United manager Keith Hill says he is the right man to get the club back into the Football League but needs to be allowed to change a "terrible" culture at the club.
The Iron were relegated to the National League this season with just 26 points.
Their season ended with a 7-0 hammering at Bristol Rovers, who dramatically clinched promotion.
"I need to be able to change the culture," said Hill, who took over at Glanford Park in November.
"I want to be here, but I will not accept what I've had to deal with for the last six months. I will not accept the standards I've been presented.
"I need to be in total control of my budget, total control of player ins and outs, and then I should be judged."
Speaking to BBC Humberside, Hill accused his players of a lack of professionalism, including turning up late, and suggested he is ready to turn to the club's youngsters.
"We've got to make sure that the club builds a squad of players that represents the supporters' values," he said.
"We need the young players to set the standard. And the standard - not just on the matchday pitch, but the training pitch - has been very, very poor.
"The first P of professionalism is punctuality. Proper practice. Pride. You don't take shortcuts. If you take shortcuts you fail.
"There will be players who'll say it's my fault. It's not my fault - 100% not my fault. I try to manage players with honesty. Sometimes that honesty leaves me vulnerable.
"I'm expecting the better players - players with integrity - to support me. It's the most difficult experience I've ever had as a manager or as a player.
"The dynamics of the club have been terrible. When we got to January, that was an open door for players who thought they had a chance of leaving. I had players asking me on a regular basis up to January, 'can I leave? Can I leave?' And there were players we wanted to leave who refused to leave."
The experienced Hill was sacked by Tranmere last year, having previously managed Bolton and Barnsley and had two spells in charge at Rochdale.
He inherited a desperate situation at Scunthorpe, where Peter Swann announced last month he was standing down as chairman.
Swann, who installed his son Will as chief scout, has been heavily criticised by fans.
But Hill, who has managed just two wins from his 33 games in charge, losing 22 of them, is adamant the Swanns are not to blame for the club's demise.
"It's the culmination of a lot of things and I can't put it down to one fact," Hill said.
"If you want me to say that it's Peter Swann's fault or Will Swann's fault, I can categorically tell you 100% it isn't.
"There's a lot of people pushing for the finger to be pointed at the Swanns and it's 100% not [their fault]. They're genuine people who are still funding this club."
Hill added: "The club need to show bravery. They can throw me under the bus if they want, like most clubs do - I got thrown under the bus [at Tranmere] last season and I got thrown under the bus at Bolton. You clean a club up and then you get thrown out.
"But it needs cleansing. It needs somebody like me to make sure there's a successful future."
