News that former player Peter Odemwingie suffered a severe knee injury in Stoke's game against Man City.
He needs an operation and apparently will be out until January at least.
A player who is a bit like Marmite; you either loved him or hated him.
Personally I'm sorry to hear the news, so I'm wishing him a speedy recovery.

***Brought this over from the old board***
I've decided to start a prediction league for the forthcoming season.
Rules:
1. Anybody can enter
2. Don't use this thread for chat about a forthcoming match just use it for predictions because it will be easier for me to see the predictions so I can put them in the table.
3. The prediction league will be for league matches, JPT, FA Cup and League cup predictions.
4. I will update the table on another thread after each game has finished
5. If FA Cup replays and League Cup games go into ET and Penalties then the score at 120 mins will stand
6. If JPT games go to Penalties then the score will stand at 90 mins
Scoring:
3pts = Correct score line
2pts = Correct goalscorer
1pt = Correct outcome
e.g Prediction = Manchester United 1-2 Chesterfield (Doyle, Morsy)
Actual result = Manchester United 0-2 Chesterfield (Doyle, Armand) = 3pts
So thats 3pts for the correct outcome and goalscorer. If you predicted Armand to score as well as Doyle you would have 5pts.
For Non-Chesterfield fans I've decided to put up the squad players:
Goalkeepers: Lee, Chapman (goalkeepers have scored in the past)
Defenders: Hird, Broadhead, Evatt, Raglan, Jones, Talbot (on loan at Plymouth)
Midfielders: Banks, Morsy, Darikwa, O'Shea, Roberts, Ryan, Humphreys, Onovwigun, Dawes, Gardner, Clucas, Ariyibi
Strikers: Harrison, Armand

Howdy all, not really been active on the old forum front for a while, but thought I'd give this site a whirl. I'm a long suffering Hibs fan-as we all are at the moment I guess!
As our squad is far from complete I'm glad to hear we have a striker Dominique Malonga, not the best scoring record but has played in the Serie A so could be a good signing. I've also heard that Darren O'Dea is training with us at the moment, not sure how much truth there is in it, or if he's interested in signing!? Would be a cracking player for us, experience and strength is exactly what our shakey defence needs just now!

Jim Duffy is apparently talking to McCoist about allowing Crawford to play for them in the PT Cup. His loan agreement stipulates that he can't play in cup games but Duffy is hopeful Ally will allow it for this competition. Slightly risky for us as it would leave him cup-tied should we make it to the final, and it's possible that we'll have more important matches at that time so Crawford might actually be in contention for a place. But that's all quite speculative and I'm happy to see him get as many games under his belt as possible. It would also be good if Morton progress and he gets a game or 2 against Championship opposition. Hope Ally gives him the chance.

Is anyone else having problems replying to posts?
While I appear to be able to start a new thread, if I rely to a post, I get the original post appear in my reply but not anything I reply with. I am also unable to apply smiles to any reply.
Any ideas?
