In all honesty we need to stop with the 'all loans policy', how many players have we actually signed of late apart from Johnstone? I do understand the hesitance to sign players, as the type of player we would need 'if' promoted would not be the same as we need in the Championship. However if we wait until we are in the Premiership, we will be back to the has been's or the over 30's. We need to be smart and look for young up and coming players or players who are currently under the radar (Bring Back Dan), so who knows if this deal for Alberth Elis comes off, it could be good, he could also go down like a lead balloon with the football here, so far he has only played in the Honduran, Mexican and American leagues, so not the best pedigree, How many would Jay or DG score in those leagues. The 11 goals a season for two seasons on the trot is not so impressive when you look at it in that way. I still think, like many, a dynamic midfielder is our priority, not necessary another right winger who can play at CF. If as stated the asking price is £5 million I cannot see us spending much if any more, so we have to prioritise, we can be very hopeful for our academy products but even if they come up trumps they will still need back up (assuming they all sign new contracts and stay).
Oli Burke has scored two goals for Celtic tonight with 30 minutes left to play.

He’s playing as a lone striker as well.

I'm genuinely pleased for him, he is still a kid tbh. Thumb up
Let's hope they stump up 15 million for him Thumb up

Or will he come back a better player ?

Josh when he played up front against Luton he scored has the pace to get beyond defenders something we lack in my opinion !
I think moving to striker could be the best thing for him long term. As a winger he has the pace but lacks the tactical brain to know when to stay wide, drift central etc and a poor touch when at pace.

As a striker though he has the pace and movement to run in behind the opposition defences and finish off chances without having to worry as much about the tactical side of the game and having to run at people successfully with pace.

Steve Clarke’s Kilmarnock have just beat Rangers 2-1. They are now up to second and are one point behind Celtic. Watched it on BT Sport and whilst they weren’t exactly pretty, they were effective and tough.

Special shoutout to the legend that is Gareth McAuley who played for Rangers.

Good on you Clarkey. Thumb up
By all acounts Oli Burke had a good game. The 2nd goal apparently was a bit "gifted" but credit to being in the right place to finish it off.

This is the census of the many Celtic fans at work - he is definitely a number 9.
Darren Moore says #wba are putting the ‘final touches’ to Rekeem Harper’s new contract. He’s expecting it to be signed soon. More at @ExpressandStar soon

"We’ve had good progressive talks with Rekeem’s advisers and I'm pleased to say we’re all on the same page." - Darren Moore says Harper is close to signing a new deal #wba https://t.co/dlK4YFV5AI
