Summer transfers
Yeah well like jjamez said, the money wasn't right. That lad from Brizzle City just went to Villa for £15m, therefore Wells is worth at least £20m, not the derisory offer of £10m.

the money around football right now is just bonkers, and we are getting closer to it destroying the game. honestly we've been a part of it as much as anyone else when we sold Rhodes for 8 million.

I don't think we can be said to be part of it really. Rhodes was our player and we didn't want to lose him. blackburn came up with silly money and we had to accept.
On the other side of it, we have just broken our transfer record fee paid, but it's still only a fraction of what other Championship clubs are paying. Villa and Newcastle in particular are still spending like they're in the Premier League. Come this time next year, they both could be where Blackburn are now.

The transfer market is like any other market tbf. You say we were part of it with the rhodes deal. I dont think its like that us, bristol, fulham, forest all had our fees in mind, but the player (like anything ie house) is only worth as much as what someone else is willing to pay.

Eg if your house is valued at 400k but someone is only willing to pay 350k. Then your house is only worth 350k. On the other hand if someone came in with 410k because they thought someone else wanted it, then its value is 410k. But no one is forcing you to sell either way

How are player worth more than houses?
