I'm afraid tradition means little to the people running football and they see these kit changes only as a means of creating revenue. If the fans refused to buy; only then would common sense prevail.
Many of you know that in recent years I have been actively following Cheltenham Town and they also produced a strip last season which was totally away from their tradition stripes. hardly showed the white stripes. It was predominately red with the thin white stripes which were only visible close up. It reminded me of a strip that Southampton had some years ago and, again I didn't like it and I didn't buy it.

What's wrong with our traditional stripes - is nothing sacred these days.

At least it doesn't give the players any excuse to say they didn't see a team mate to pass too. Thumb down

I am an old git and want to see stripes, lots of them and all of equal width.

This is a money grabbing manoeuvre pure and simple. They won’t be getting my money.

Does anyone know who is responsible for merchandise/ kit?
Judging by the way that person comes up with the un-Albion strips, it can't be a Club representative or fan. It must therefore be some idiot from a Sports Kit Company who have a written contract to design.
If that's the case, end that contract, and include the fans, who 99.9% would insist on keeping our tradition.
Shame on the idiotic Director who allowed this to happen after nearly 150 years.
