So Colin reckons Dawson assaulted Speroni? Just watched it on Sky and there was minimal contact after the ball was in the net. Might explain why th unhurt Speroni was so upset to be taken off, but it suited Colin's agenda. Is there any more objectionable character in football ( apart from Lee Hendrie perhaps)

You can add Paul Merson and Stan Collymore to your list of objectionable characters.

Spot on Zinman, he's made himself out to be a hero by taking him off, against the advice all those around him and saving Speroni from being "assaulted" again in what was a football accident fair & square, and it makes Daws out to be a hatchet man, the same could easily have happened to Foster for their first and yes I'd have cried foul but not made out that their player was intent on "taking him out" next time.
Here speaks a man (???) who sank to the depths of sportsmanship all those years ago at Brammall Lane in an episode that still leaves a bitter taste in the mouth for all of us who saw it, not just Albion fans, but anybody who plays or watches competitive sport.
No matter how much I like to win, there are limits, but Warnock hadn't - and still hasn't got an ounce of decency in him, here is an example that has never been anywhere close to being repeated since

Beat me to it..
'Not seen one of them since Bert Trautman'
'The only person to give him (Speroni) some protection was me'
Oh Colin, you flatter to deceive you eyebrow-less muppet
We never forget
I can go a step higher than Aston Villa

Yes West Brom were awarded the three points.
Gary Megson made it clear that there was no way that he would agree to the game being replayed and that he was prepared to lose those point if the decision went against us even though it could have affected our chances of promotion.
In addition to all the various (apt) descriptions mentioned already, Warnock also suffers from a very selective memory and is, to put it politely, economical with the truth!!

"Colin - what a warnock"
Great headline, Zinman.
I'm not trying to de-rail your thread, but you ask:
"Is there any more objectionable character in football ( apart from Lee Hendrie perhaps)". Well, he ain't nothing to do with football, (and he's probably never been to a match in his life before, and he probably calls it 'footy')............
but did anyone see that cretin Russell Brand hijack Fat Sam's interview after yesterday's match? It was paffe'ic! "Britain's Unfunniest Comedian" is now pretending to be one of the lads, and if you asked him to name Hammers' last Manager he'd probably change the subject in his usual slippery way.
If you might have thought it might be slightly genuine, he never took his eye off the camera as he hugged the bloke who most Hammers fans despise. And how on Earth did he weasel his way onto the Interview Room, except by bribing someone lots of money - still, he got the publicity that he craves, oh, and he happens to have another book out. The f*cking cretin.
I don't like him.
