Get in!!! 2-1 win, well deserved overall but too close for comfort again, but the win is what we needed no matter how it came. Bannan played better, Fletcher and Forestieri both got goals that will hopefully kick start their season and the subs such as Reach and Buckley give CC more options!!!
All in all, a good day, job done and three vital points in the bag!!

Positives for me are fessi & fletcher scoring !! and coming back from 1 down !!
But realy cc gets a 5 from me with the starting lineup including wallace when we have just spent 5 million on Reach ? and playing the 4-4-2 every first half we have ever played under him !!
Got to go for the throat at home play the best team from the start and stop feffing around !!
Jones is back thank god because he looks a good a signing as bannan has been and bring in reach for wallce and either drop hutch to the bench for loovens or play them both !!

As already said, that was a grind but we came away with 3pts. It stops the rot and with another win we're back in the top 10.
I think it was important that both Fessi & Fletch scored today.

Now if only we could trade imre.
Pleased with the performance today. We don't have a good record against Wigan so a win by any margin is a good result.

Overall a good performance and a deserved win. Went with a 433/4321 formation with our full backs asked to give us the width. Wigan went 532.
Started brightly but yet another defensive error, this time Lees giving the ball away, gave Wigan the lead, Grigg scoring from 6 yards. We were generally on the front foot but only seemed to create half chances until Bannan clipped a ball thru and Fletch outmuscled the defender to guide home last Bogdan. Wallace nearly gave us the lead at half-time but prodded wide.
The second half was mostly us on the front foot, the bar was struck early, Wallace fired a free kick just over and a few other chances want begging before Fernando finished from a narrow angle after a well worked move. Hooper, newly on as sub, was unlucky not to make it 3, his overhead kick hitting the keeper.
Our new £5m signing came on at LB replacing Pudil. Wigan had one final chance a bobbled effort saved by Westwood.
Westwood 6
Palmer 7
Lees 6
Hutch 7
Pudil 7
Bannan 8
Lee 7
Abdi 6
Wallace 6
Fletcher 7
Forestieri 7
Hooper 7
Reach 6

Be interesting to see if CC goes with same starting formation v Bristol on Tuesday. We finished the game 442 with Hooper and Fletch linking up well up front. Abdi did ok today in a more familiar central role, nothing bad, nothing flashy either. Don't think Wallace should be in the starting eleven at the moment.

Wallace is the one to replace, and I would prefer to see Fletcher and Hooper/Joao up front, so picking the midfield 3 (assuming FF plays behind the strikers) will be the key decision for CC.
