A lot of fans are going to be very disappointed at 4 AM tomorrow morning. I stand by what i said a few days ago. I expect the announcement to be early August. It's all but complete now but my understanding is it's another Asia based party not Wanda group.

Daily mail saying we want Roger Burden from FA as chairman if the Chinese sale goes through. There's no way they could make that up surely? I think something is closer than is being let on here

I've said it in here previously.  JP has undertaken "classic" tax planning of going non-resident (to Jersey) before the 5 April year end, in order to make a potentially tax-free capital gain in this current tax year (although he needs to spend 5 years resident abroad).  Given that his only real income source is from the club, with his financial profile it is the ONLY reason why he would have moved to Jersey.

A sale is clearly imminent, although of course it could fall through in which case JP can return to England and go abroad again next March to try again.

I did hear from a mate in Jersey that JP did in fact do exactly the same thing last year, and the anticipate Chinese deal fell through.  He seemingly bought his Jersey house well over a year ago.

Nothing is certain, but I'd say a sale this summer is a probability.

++++++++
Believe it or believe it not, a lot of people would like to live in Jersey, and not because of tax reasons, as these loop holes have been clamped on a great deal of late. Also they are not in the EU.

This is now five weeks on from this post, and nothing still has happened, so not two/three weeks. Best to forget it until it happens me thinks! haha

"...... a lot of people would like to live in Jersey..."

Are you kidding?
There were at least 2 murders there every week a few years ago. Thank goodness for Bergerac.
Start every day off with a smile and get it over with

Heard it could be evergrande group

Owner is 8th richest man in china worth 4.9billion.
Jack Ma owns a share of the company as well.

they also own Guangzhou who have spent some big money this summer on players like Jackson Martinez

At 13.01 I posted the above
At 13.16 this appears on the Birmingham mail site,
The ITK on the other site must be well informed and feel this may be where we are heading ??
Although I'm not ITK it all seems to be adding up, so unless JP pulls the plug ......................

.....just wish this would happen, the dust would settle, and we could then perhaps get on with signing a few more centre backs Angry

It's all done just going through the final checks now. No idea who it is I'm just as much in the dark about that as everyone else I just know it's done and it's not Wanda I haven't been informed as to who it is.

It seems a deja-vu -  exactly the same as what happened before and the possible take-over being blamed.

Just a couple of weeks away from the start of the new season and all we have done is sign a Championship winger; no replacement striker for 'Sulko' if he goes; no fresh creativity in mid-field and ageing central defenders.

All we will be left with is the cheapo dregs that nobody wants.

I despair of our club but at least it vindicates my decision after so many years not to renew my Season Ticket until we as a club show just a little ambition. I really fear our prospects of surviving in the Prem next season with our target being 17th place.
