Berahino offered new contract

I honestly think GET RID ASAP and GOOD RIDDANCE.....................

Ungrateful Brat will continue to do the same thing with his new club until he gets a top 5 team and I don't think that will happen as they have been put off by his childish antics unless he scores 20 goals per season over next 2 years.

Bye Bye

Strange tweet from SB today, a picture of himself in full kit with Season 2016/2017 and the slogan I AM READY.

Has anyone heard anything official on his new contract?

I agree, I thought it was excellent, pretty fair and balanced. To be honest, with the names of strikers we are currently being associated with, I'd rather keep a motivated Berahino for this last season of his contract (provided he's truly motivated) and accept the loss at the end of his contract. A Berahino of season before last would contribute a lot more than Mbokani et al.

Latest rumour from Birmingham Mail.

The South London Press report this morning that Palace are considering giving up on Liverpool forward Christian Benteke - it's likely the Belgian will be staying out at Anfield now - and going after Berahino.

The SLP add that the Eagles have "made inroads to sign Berahino".

Mark Hughes on Sky ..........

Stoke manager Mark Hughes has said the Potters have lodged bids for West Brom striker Saido Berahino.

Berahino, who received an England squad call-up in November 2014, has only one year left on his deal with the Baggies and last summer he expressed frustration that a move to Tottenham was blocked by his club’s hierarchy.

However, the 22-year-old may yet be offered a way out of The Hawthorns by Stoke as Hughes has stated his club have made enquiries to West Brom about landing Berahino amid reports of a £20million bid.

“He’s a player at another club so I don’t really want to comment too much but it’s fair to say we’ve put bids in that, as we stand, haven’t been accepted yet but we’re still hopeful on that one,” the Welshman said on Sky Sports News HQ.
