good news, one of the players that gets some undue stick. people go on about his lack of pace but i do struggle to name central defenders that are blessed with pace, if a striker gets a yard on him he's bound to struggle, thats why its a defensive partnership/unit, someone comes to cover and let him get back.

i've seen it happen to lynch and not as much gets said about it. think hudson is one of those footballers where fans get one impression and then stick to it regardless!

The length of the deal surprises me but then again that includes his transition into the coaching staff. Hudson deserves a new contract but I can't see him being a automatic choice at centre back next season, after that he'll probably be concentrating on coaching

Town have made worse decisions in the past Smile

if the HEF can form a decent bond with Lynch Hudson will be sat on the bench next year as a coach he could potentially be a very valuable asset on paper seems a smart move

On reflection this seems quite a shrewd deal to me. It tells me that Hudson himself knows he has a limited shelf life as a player but wants to make the transition to coaching and will therefore not be averse to younger players being brought in/developed to fill his shoes. No hissy fits.I think it also sends out a good message to other 'pros throughout the leagues that Town are a progressive club who, although working on a limited budget, plan for the future and can provide career opportunity. A club worth playing for.

Apparently, we've signed Danny Ward.

No not him. Liverpool keeper on loan for next season.

Looks like the Klopp Wagner friendship is already paying off for us

Town are sniffing around Southend Utds Jack Payne, I've only seen him once for SU against Sheff Utd but he was superb that evening and man of the match...a proper little ratter if you like (little being the correct term as he's 5'5")
