Celtic if they win the title....under 3 million .....Villa ( my hometown club, for finshing bottom with the worst side I've seen at Villa Park for 50 years ( when I first went to see them play)....100 million +       Doh

I couldn't find a lot of "facts" on the EFL other than the promoted 3 getting 200 million each and the rest getting maybe 2 million each.

Odd fact: if after 3 years of their upcoming deal you had nine clubs relegated from the EPL in the championship they'd be getting 180 million in parachute payments in a year.

That's 10 times the SPFL deal to the failures.

3 years of finishing 17th - 300 million in league payouts alone.  This is why the big european teams want to try and draw the top 4 or 5 from england into a euro league - and why the likes of Arsenal aren't up for it, I guess - they can have the EPL money and the CL money.

The numbers are mental:

this is mind blowing http://www.totalsportek.com/football/pre...able-2015/

Slagging off Scottish fitba teams who are trying there hardest just to stay afloat you ignorant fuq, can't afford to throw money at the hope of making into the leagues proper so have to try with what they have,we aren't very good now that's from top to bottom and that us a fact.

Nobody slagged off anyone cretin! All i did was state the obvious had other Scottish clubs at least got through the qualifiers then perhaps we wouldn't be having this discussion. And stop being so affected hen. Easy to hide behind a keyboard Fred.

Those numbers are staggering in comparison to the Championship, let alone Scotland!!! These are the sort of numbers that Bayern, Barca, Real Madrid etc etc want to tap into with a European League but I still think the Prem teams realize they don't need to leave the EPL, and harm English football, to be the richest clubs in the world, so hopefully that will keep them where they are.

Scottish football needs to renegotiate their deal somehow, and they need to be creative to remove the competition on Sky with the Prem, a battle they won't win. The league needs to be more competitive, it needs Rangers and Hibs back up there, and it needs Aberdeen and Hearts to kick on and challenge Celtic. PSG in France have recognized the problem of a one horse race in Ligue 1 and are now looking at ways of supplying players to other teams and even sharing more money to other teams to allow them to be able to afford to compete domestically with them, maybe something like that will be needed. Someone at HQ needs to think outside the current box to make the game attractive again.

To be fair, it will be led by the clubs not the SPFL if this sort of change is going to happen.  I can't imagine Celtic are happy with the general diminishing standards in Scotland, even if they are winning the league every year!!  Certainly I would expect Rangers, Hibs and Hearts to be more sympathetic to the group as opposed to the individual due to their recent trials and tribulations!!

Ex Celt, Joe Smith, saying last night that a good number of Hoops' players not giving 100 pc for the club/Deila. I think that has been evident for a while and Deila needs his assertive players, like Brown and Mulgrew, to 'settle the ship' or the manager could well be gone shortly. The upcoming Morton match may well be the defining moment unless his team provide a decent display at home v inferior opponents. Interesting times ahead for Celtic and Deila.
