Thought I'd say something on this issue. For starters, this site is far better than the one we all abandoned.

Swearing and nudity don't offend me personally, however, I can see that new backers/sponsors and some new users may not see the humour involved. I will miss the lucky boobs and bums but there are other websites available!!

The C word should be blocked as I know many men and women who find it offensive. It still stands as 'the forbidden word' whilst F words,S words,and B words seem more acceptable in modern society.

I agree with Imre, Thurnsoe and others when they say we have a good understanding group of posters who will shout from the rafters if they feel offended. A quick sorry seems to suffice on most occasions.

So let's all keep calm. No need to rush back to the broken old site just so we can swear till were blue in the face!! Good luck to Mark and Stairs... without them this working, functional site would not have materialised.

We are here to moan, celebrate and discuss the efforts of Wednesday. UTO

Booo , what's wrong with a bit of eye candy, I've seen young ladies out round sheff wearing less than some of the ladies posted on here.
I totally understand the need to moderate things, but the " family" that have stuck together do moderate each other, I must admit I get bored to death on some of the other forums where you can't express your opinions passionately or where sarcasm has become the norm.
People rant n rave , it's part of life, but if we are to be controlled in such a manner it's just merely a matter of time before we are calling people bounders and eating prawn Sarnies at matches ...... What what dear sir.
This site and the previous one were a breath of fresh air in a world of sites controlled by sponsorships and advertising.

I agree let's block some of the more over the top swearing but what's wrong with the magic arse/tits once a week. If someone is desperate to access porn that can offend they won't be accessing a sports debate site to find it.

I can see both sides of the argument here.

Love the t*ts & a***s on the match thread. It is mildly amusing, particularly when it coincides with us scoring.

I do think some of the foul language is gratuitous & not necessary. It doesn't offend me but I know of three people who left us on the previous site because of the foul language. That bears out what Stairs says that to make this Forum viable, they have to control the language to get more users which in turn attracts sponsors.

Football is a passionate game & there are times when you need to explode and "Bloody Hell Old Boy" just won't do.

I see far worse (or better) picture wise on Facebook though.

I know this means our lucky tits and arses (note there are no **** now for those words!!) will have to be left to our imagination but surely we can still move on without them?? As regards the swearing you will all soon see as you type what is acceptable or not but I ask for your assistance and common sense with this please.

I know some of you will not be happy with this, and believe me the debate behind the scenes was just as passionate, but this truly is the best course for the site as a whole. I hope we do not lose anyone over this, as imre said we have become a bit of a family over the last few years and I am convinced we can still be that for a long time to come!!

But I can still post my Betty Grable pics can't I? Huh
