I've stuck up for Pulis in the past because I thought he was getting some unfair stick, but he's lost the plot the last couple of games and this reeks of a return to the Alan Irvine school of team selection...

IMO the team selection played into well Newcastle's hands. They have probably the 2 slowest centre backs in the league and full backs who are good going forward but poor defensively and we play with Anichebe on his own up top who never runs in behind and a midfield that invites the full backs on rather than actually making them defend.

Saido is introduced and plays 'in behind' AGAIN where he's completely ineffective. If there's any game where Saido should be playing on the shoulder (which is by far his best position) is against those 2 slow donkeys.

No surprise that finally when Rondon comes on and actually tries to get in behind that we eventually make a chance, but surely Rondon has to be starting in these type of games. It's like the players names are getting picked out of a hat.

Struggling to see where the next win is coming from with the injuries, lack of form and rubbish selections. Hopefully we have enough games at home to stay in the league, but on that performance, we're going to struggle to get 11 points to hit 40.

Just seen a twitter poll suggedting that 88% of fans want Pulis gone.....I don't believe it.
How can 12% still want him?

11% abstained and the other1% were not allowed un-escorted leave from their padded cell.

I consider myself to be lucky Albion fan, I have not seen us play badly this season.

I have not been to a game this season and I do not have sky or BT sports so can not watch live games, I am not up to speed with streaming games and on Wednesday I will be working a 1800 to 0600 night shift without access to a television, yes I consider myself to be a lucky baggie.

Sorry Zinman your like went on before I added the second part of this post, please forgive if it gives the wrong impression.

I may be wrong, but I don't think it's the results that people are up in arms about, it's the team selection and total lack of ambition that is the killer.
If we'd had a real go in these last 3 games, and come away with NO points, it wouldn't be so bad?!

Always been a realist and been pro TP, but now I'm changing my mind rapidly.

Drewks, I have always followed the Albion because as you say, we have always tried to play football and tried to win games, I can cope with losing to a better team, a poor decision or a lucky goal if we have tried to win but eight defensive players, not a fan of pulis but willing to give him a go ......... like you my patience is starting to wear thin.

Had work from 8 o clock this morning and by the looks of it on here I've been better off with a ten hour shift than watching the game. Just finished watching the post match interview with Pulis and at least he hasn't gone back to his usual trick of trying to say "but they've spent more on their squad than us!" or other excuses. There's no defending as poor a performance as you guys have described it for me by reading this thread.

Sounds like it'll be a make-shift team for the Posh replay as well after listening to that.

Liked the look of 'Pilchard' today.
Good prospect, right age, but I doubt Spurs would sell.
