I have had problems getting live feed from Wednesday games for some time now. Yesterday's game (2/02/2016) was the worst ever. All I got from Wed Player was a grey arrow and bar with 0.00 displayed. No red icon no red bar no sound whatsoever. Missed the entire game. I have latest version of Adobe flash player and Windows 10. This is simply not good enough. I pay good money for this service which has been appalling. Will you advise me of what the problem is, will you assure me that it will be fixed? Or, I shall be demanding a refund and cancelling my subscription.

Them:

Hi,

We are sorry to hear you experienced problems during the game.

We suffered a system wide outage which we are currently investigating to ensure this does not happen again.

Once again we apologise for the issues experienced during the game.

Kind regards,

It happens all too often and in this day and age it is inexcusable. The technology is not that high tech as to make it so unreliable. I implore you to do a better job.

I take your point, Stateside. Problem is my subscription is on automatic renewal and was recently renewed. I'll take it off the automatic mode, but I'm in it for a while longer at least. I do get more enjoyment listening to a commentary than trying to follow a ticker tape. I don't mind the lads having a go at me, although it was a bit annoying at the time. But, I did get to see the humor in it as it went on. It was all in jest. Wasn't it? Huh

Pei, I won't be cancelling my subscription either, its the only way I can get to enjoy the games being so far away. To be fair, this is the first time they have had the entire system go down for a complete game and I agree that the technology is hardly expansive, but as with any technology sometimes shit happens. I know Wednesday upgraded the equipment at their end to solve some of the earlier issues and its been fine most of the time since then but aside from that there is nothing Wednesday can do about this as its a FL wide contract that they have to use. Once we get into the Prem then they will be able to provide their own service away from the FL contract but until then its the best we will get.

That's all you're likely to get. Written apologies without action. They certainly didn't offer to waive a months fee, or even a weeks fee credit. there's no reason to believe it won't happen again.
As I said before and Charlie says above. Next year this contract will run out and we could expect something better, I'll certainly pay for that.
Whether it's 5 quid or 500 quid though, for me, the principle is the same. It isn't going to get better with the current provider or their setup would already have reflected this from the first day of operation. Instead, they have declined. For me this is unacceptable. For others maybe not so.

Looking forward to next year when we're on the Tv all the time here and we do finally get that quality radio internet feed.

We could all have pre-written that response PEI. Typical customer service response and I had similar carp from the airline when my flight got cancelled and had to meet up with the cruise ship in Mexico and not Florida.
Not giving them any excuses but here was a widespread BT Broadband failure in the UK around the time it all disappered and that may well have impacted it.
Like SCO WW is the best option for me since I don't have access to even BeIN for the tv games. My subscription is on annual renewal and there's still the option a few days later to watch the whole game so its still worth it to me.

Difficult from just seeing the YT highlights but aside from the early mistake for the goal it seemed like we played OK against a team that had scored a sh*tload in recent games and beforehand I though a draw to be good.
Hopefully as the weather warms the pitch will recover but ti did look a bit threadbare consdering the money invested in it.

More confident of 3 points at BHam especially if Lees is back in the defence. My summer wish would be to sign someone equally young/good for a 3-4 year contract at CH or move Hutch there with him and find another midfiield stopper. Alternate is to toughen up Sasso to deal withthe physicality.

Part of my problem is that I'm only semi-literate wrt computer technology. So, I've downloaded the most recent updated version of Adobe Flash Player 20.0.0.286 today. I don't know whether it is "enabled." I don't know what browser it works best with or if that matters, etc. I want to make sure that everything is in place at my end.So, when these companies spout off a lot of technical b.s. it's over my head.   Time to call in my son who knows how to access my computer from his home and is streets ahead of me with it.  I'm yesterday's man.Doh

Always handy if you have a trustworthy and savvy person to remotely access your Pc/device. Sounds like a good idea!

Windows 8 through 10 has its share of problems, incompatibilities and drivers not supporting newer/older hardwares/softwares. Microsoft knew what they were doing ahead of time as the newer laptops are a B*tch at times to replace windows 8 with a more stable platform like Win7, anything prior to Windows8 is now called 'Legacy' so it's clear they're pushing out newer versions of Windows before anything can support it.. Though I doubt it was that causing your WW to fail. Laugh

Chrome is better than Internet Explorer for just about everything.

I use Chrome all the time, never use explorer anymore. As regards Flashplayer, one of the changes they made was to remove the need for it to run the commentaries, so this shouldn't make a difference. This also means you can listen to the commentaries on your iphone or ipad now as well.

I didn't know that. I'm sure the ww site said an updated version of  adobe flash was needed. Then I saw somewhere that chrome isn't compatible with the 20 series versions of flash. Anyhow I'll see what gives Saturday.

The requirement for flash was what stopped it being workable on Apple products in previous seasons, but now it can be played on those devices so I assume that requirement has gone.

Just watched the highlights and for their goal there were two mistakes by our defence. First was Loovens trying to get around Vokes on the wrong side which allowed him to turn and cross and secondly neither Hutchinson or Hunt picked up Gray in the middle. Harsh to blame just one player, it wasn't good defensively all around!!
