I think we're going to see a lot more things like that going the way of favoured clubs, Imre.
Might be worth keeping an eye on how many of the top teams "luckily" get extended break periods aside to the smaller/lower placed or less favoured clubs.

Blackburn's ground was waterlogged as were a dozen league games in the north west. Our game was never going to be put back 24 hours especially as it was a live tv game.
Teams shouldn't have to play twice in 3 days. I would keep the Boxing day fixture as that is a tradition that goes back years, there's enough spare midweek dates where they could play the game.

Boro gain nothing because anything they gain by extra rest against us , they lose by having less rest after they play Blackburn later in the season. We are the only losers. However, if CC had kept his mouth shut & just said that we have a great squad & have the players to win the match then we would probably have done better. Wait until after the match to complain about our misfortune.

Pavel Srnicek (44 apps for the Owls) who suffered a cardiac arrest 9 days ago has had his life support machine switched off. He was 47.
RIP Pavel

While that's a great point MS. I can't help but feel circumstances play a big part in it also. 'Boro for instance when it comes to them playing B'burn without a break, could have absolutely no injuries whatsoever. So being tired at that point in time has little effect on them.
On the reverse, they could have had injuries to key players prior to playing us that had plenty of time to get fit. There are definitely benefits to gain.
Regarding CC's comments I couldn't agree more. It's almost as if he'd built the players up with a kind of "it's ok if you lose today" mentality. the players shouldn't go into the game with anything other than 100% positive mental attitude

CCcomes across as a real mardy bum complaining about the congestion of fixtures that affected the owls. Get over it. It happens. The team either rises to the occasion or not. I think if he had picked our best 11 we might just have sneaked a draw, but he didn't so stop moaning CC.

I think CC picked the best team to get the most points across a number of fixtures. If we hadn't let in a first minute goal, we probably would have got something.

Well Ipswich managed to record a 1-0 win at Brighton so move 4 points clear of us. Cardiff only drew at home to Forst so stay a couple of points behind us. We could do with stringing a few wins together to close the gap that has opened. Burnley, Brighton and Hull are also slowly being caught by the rest as well, so its key we stay in touch.
