Quote:Fulham on Rangers boss Mark Warbuton: We have NO interest in making him our next manager

THE English Championship club are on the lookout for a new boss but according to a club spokesman – it won’t be Warbs.

FULHAM have today insisted they have "no interest" in making Mark Warburton their next manager.

The Rangers boss is the bookies’ favourite to take over from Kit Symons, who was axed by the English Championship side last month.

Speculation grew further earlier this afternoon when the second favourite to succeed Symons – Gary Neville – landed the Valencia job, seemingly clearing the way for Warburton to return south.

But the Craven Cottage outfit are adamant they do not want the former Brentford boss.

Radio Station RockSport approached Fulham for a member of their club to go on and speak about Warburton.

But the Cottagers flatly refused, telling the station: "We are reluctant to provide a spokesperson from the club for RockSport’s Talking Football Programme as we have no interest in Mark Warburton and do not wish to add to speculation."

He's already away from family and friends.  Fulham would be a journey home for him and a short commute to work.

And cash is king, the only question is how much. It's a professional game.

Given he has only been in the job a few months i can't see him going. Firstly he strikes me as the kind of man who likes to see a job through, secondly his stock will be considerably higher if he gets us into europe , and performing reasonably well there. And thirdly i dont see him getting the time to build an ethos at a club like Fulham, they need a quick short sharp relative success.

Both bemused and frustrated by shockingly incorrect stories from certain media outlets. I am going nowhere and no club has approached me

Such stories are incorrect and disrespectful to me, to Rangers and to the supposed interested party which in this case is Fulham. Appalling

Why are such stories are released without any sensible investigation? Rangers fans, Rangers as a club and indeed Fulham deserve better

I wish he would just say what's on his mind.

Aye, get to the point, man!

Think it's time for the club to stand up to these rumour-mongerers and shit-sirrers, and Mr Warburton's fired a fine opening salvo. Let's see what they have to say for themselves in response.

No doubt he's overeacting, and they are reporting facts as they find them. (Or whatever headline sells)
