What I consider true trolling and what I see on here are not the same thing, maybe thats just my definition as a moderator!! I want to see football debate however delicate or controversial the topic may be and in my post I think that is what I was requesting from yourself and others. You quote a journalist in your post, that for me also fulfills your "obligation" as a source of the statements you make, also adding it as being your opinion would qualify as well but may attract more opposition.
As I said, lets keep it civil, cut out the one line pointless quips and lets all have the ability to express our right to free speech in a respectful, non-name calling manner, if not then I still obviously reserve the right to remove the free speech bit, after all this is only a democracy as long as I as site moderator allow it to be!!!!

I've got nothing against rangers fans as individuals but things might run a little smoother if they actually acknowledged and got realistic about the effects of their moronic, bigoted hardcore support on other clubs. Singing about battles 300 years old in another country as if hibernian fans were somehow opponents in this "victory" (i mean what the xxxx?) calling us "peados" and "taigs",dishing out the vilest abuse to our manager, throwing bottles into crowds of supporters outside, xxxx salutes and union flags everwhere. Even their fans in hospitality were acting like total xxxx last game at easter road.
Sorry but no way is it a minority among their away support either. The facts do not bear that out if you actually attend the games. Compounded by their bizarre revenge fantasies on the rest of the scottish game they seem hellbent on taking us back to the worst of the 70s/80s, and that naturally is going to prompt the kind of reaction you see on here.
There, i've said my piece.

I thought any journo who uttered a negative comment against Rangers was immediately intimidated and subsequently banned from future press interviews Fredster? Talk about an inferiority complex - very touchy indeed!! I'd also add if you can't attend a game SCO, then just tune into a bbc radio commentary of a Rangers match and come to your own conclusions re the massed poisonous chanting that hibeejim referred to in the previous thread - normally as clear as the light of day and we're not referring to the actions of a few people!!!! I don't attach the words/attributes humility and pragmatism to Rangers FC and I doubt I will alter that view in the near future either!! Their terrorism of my football club in August, conveniently orchestrated to destabilise Hibs FC just before the new season began, merely confirmed how nothing has really changed at Ibrox down the years! Antagonism and relative parochialism personified and winning a few football matches will never disguise those facts!!

I think the responses you've had since you posted that proves that you're looking for something that cannot exist within that particular mind-set. The grotesque sweeping generalisations run rife, tarring a whole section of Scottish society with their twisted viewpoints. The need to demonise ordinary, law-abiding football supporters just because they support Rangers runs at the very core of their being.
The ordinary football fan wouldn't behave that way.
Tell me, how is anyone supposed to be civil when buckets of sh*t like that are thrown in their faces?

You should join the British equivalent of the xxxx party Trusevich - the defensive spin/propaganda that you're spouting off is breathtaking!! Generally demonising of decent Rangers fans - ehhhhh? What a gross exaggeration of previous dialogue/criticism coming from an individual who is very selective (are you capable of reading threads fully and properly or are you indeed just trying to be a smart arse????) in what he talks about and is quick to utter all the cheap defensive drivel/expletives that he can dream up on a decent board and appear to be the offended party!!! You have no credibility whatsoever (totally based on the crass responses and comments in many of your threads!) and I'd suggest to other decent new606 posters that they finally don't provide this nut job with the audience that he is clearly trying to attract - EASY SOLUTION - JUST IGNORE HIM (OR IN SAINT CHARLES OWL'S CASE, REMOVE THIS CONTEMPTUOUS CREATURE!)!! LET HIM TALK TO HIMSELF AS HE CLEARLY HAS SUCH A HIGH REGARD FOR HIMSELF AND HIS PERFECT FOOTBALL CLUB, OR SO HE THINKS! Nuff said! BYE BYE!!

So now you're suggesting I should join 'the British equivalent' of a fascist political party that persecuted innocent people and were responsible for the Holocaust? That's an utterly repugnant thing to suggest, yet strangely I'm not at all surprised. It's typical of the way Rangers fans are demonised, and there is little shame shown by those who do so.
What happened to the call for civil debate?
By the way, I invoke Godwin's Law on this. Game over, you lose.

Don't dare think of the rangers fans singing disgusting sectarian songs, spitting on your car or pelting your fellow fans with missiles. Think of the nice, ordinary ones at home watching a stream of the game. Don't demonise them for gods sake man!!!!

At least you're capable of separating the two, hj21, however sarcastic your sentiment is.
ALL Rangers fans are NOT the same.
