Pulis, Sherwood or Irvine?

I don't want to spend hard earned cash to endure such crap as we are seeing at the moment. I would go so far as to say it is the worst football we have seen from West Brom in over ten years.

Good job your day was a corporate freebie, then!  Whistle

Thank the Lord it was a corporate 'freebie' Aries or I might have been buying myself a length of rope!

Aries, it was awful and hurtful to have to sit there with a bunch of Stokies having to accept justified comments such as "Can't you do better than that against nine men" and when nine man Stoke were on top for long periods in the second half, the crowd chanting "We've only need nine men"

Pulis is destroying our beloved club.

There's something of a pattern to the history of Albion managers. On the one hand you have Vic Buckingham, Giles, big Ron, Ardiles, Mowbray .... more recently Pepe Mel (last night I watched a Pepe Mel defence concede 5 to Real Madrid although they did tap the ball around very nicely at times...) and on the other, Hagan and Howe, Ron Saunders, Megson and Pulis.
Reaction and counter-reaction.

Don't know how long Pulis will last but I suspect he'll keep us up and when he does eventually go (as he eventually will) a new manager with a more attractive style of football will come along (successfully or unsuccessfully) and so on.....

did not see the game only saw motd, not much help, nine men in two banks of four can be hard to break down, we could not break down the ten against Chelsea either. It is not always as straight forward as we have more men than you, but should have kept possession better made them run more and wore them down, passed better. Lack of confidence may have been a factor as well. Now we have a win maybe it will lead to more .... here's hoping.

4evabaggie,
Think you may have hit the nail on the head with the confidence point.
First win of the season will hopefully get that monkey of their back now.
The not breaking down Stoke didn't really concern me but Stoke didn't really defend in numbers. The concerning thing was that Stoke had virtually as much possession as us and looked likely to equalise !
Still, moving on with Evans signed and hopefully 2 or 3 more signings before the deadline things should improve.
Sad thing was, we desperately needed Berahino playing on saturday to inject that bit of pace up front.

Why am I not surprised by that?

You honestly believe Sherwood had any say on those signings at Villa?
Iam sure he wouldn't of wasted most of Westbrom`s biggest ever transfer budget on absolute dross.

Can we now take that pr*ck sherwood out of the running ?
Won't last the season at Villa. Spurs fans didn't like him and neither do I ...

Pulis will do a decent job but we all know that the next manager has got to be McInnes.
