As a bit of fun while we wait for Thurnscoe's international threads and wait for the Burnley game to come around lets get some team ideas going.
So aside from maybe a loan signing, we now know what CC has to work with until at least January. DC is going to expect us to be in the top 10 come Xmas and within touching distance of the playoffs, if so then I think he will back CC with more money to strengthen the squad to push for promotion this season. Its a tough ask of CC or any other manager to turn us around that quickly but thats what he signed up for.
So with that in mind, put yourself in CC's shoes and lets have a go at picking the formation and team you think is our best 11. Forget injuries etc, just take the squad and decide what is your best options. Add the 7 subs you would use if you wish.

On the basis that CC has said that he won't play 352,
Westwood
Hunt - Lees - Turner - Pudil
Hutchinson - Lopez
Bannan - Forestieri - Matias
Joao
Subs: Price, Sasso, Sougou, Lee, McGugan, Wallace, Bus
When our marquee striker comes in, Joao drops to the bench & Bus disappears.

Same as Steve. Apart from I would have Nuhiu and Helan on the bench in place of Bus and maybe Sougou.

I actually had Helan on the bench at first but changed it. Think Sougou is good to have from the bench as he proved against Reading.

Matias is our player with the most quality. We have to work out how to make him more effective in matches & I don't see how we do that by not playing him. I also don't see Sougou as a starter. He looks good as an impact player against tired defenders but doesn't look to have the quality to influence a SBC match from the start.

Matias has got quality, to me he is wasted on the wing and would be better in the no.10 position, but now we have Forestieri who is a genuine no.10 imo and I would chose him instead of Matias.
I did have Pudil in Sougou's spot with Helan at LB, to start with. At least we have options now unlike previous seasons.

I'd have Lee in instead of Balsa Boy 2.0 and Nuhiu on the bench instead of Bus. Probably need another defender on the bench too so Balsa Boy or McGugan would have to make way for Loovens.
If CC were to play 3-5-2, I'd have
Westwood
Lees Turner Sasso
Hunt Lee Bannan Lopez Pudil
Matias Forestieri
and complicated

I'd go with Owlskev's team with Matias starting instead of Sougou. Not a fan of Hutchinson.

It must have been a good summer if we're having trouble deciding on the 7 subs never mind the team. We're not used to such mental challenges on team selection. More so for me without seeing them play much.
I'm with PEI's adjustment to Owlskev and starting Matias over Sougou but I'd have Nuhui and Hutch on the bench in place of Semedo and Bus. Problem with Bus and Melo is that they've never had much of an appearance to judge on.
Someone needs to install a secret training ground cam !!
CC definitely has a challenge on selection while keeping evryone happy. Surely a few will have to go out on loan to stay match fit and/or improve.

I'd still like to see a 5-3-2 variation despite it being unlikely.
------------Westwood----------
Hunt--Turner--Lees--Sasso--Pudil
----Bannan---Lopez---Matias
----------Joao----(Nuhui) Marquee Striker here or Forestieri sitting slightly behind Joao in SS position.
As before, attacking WB/FB.
Dawson, Palmer, Semedo Wallace, Mcgugan, Sougou, Nuhui Lee, would also fit in somewhere. I'd be on the fence to rotate Loovens & Sasso too.
OR
------------Westwood----------
Nuhui--Nuhui--Nuhui--Nuhui--Nuhuui
----Nuhui---Nuhui---Nuhui
----------Nuhui----Nuhui
