Get a few players in, get a few players out,

Stubbs signs up Henri Anier on a loan deal - a more experienced CF than Feruz and I'll take Anier to play in this Championship League. He's an Estonian international player who should be banging in a good number goals for Hibs in the coming months!

Hardly set the heather on fire with motherwell and utd,but interesting to see how he does. Some amount of players signed this window.

Just to update you guys, we did indeed let Stevie May go but we were able to sell him for about 1m to Preston. May struggled in the Championship last season and hasn't had a look in with our new manager this season either, so it was inevitable he would move. I am surprised we made a profit on him having paid about 800k on him last summer but that the crazy nature of English football these days, particularly with strikers.

On another related note, Doyle also signed for Preston today, although that one was just on loan.

I believe this Anier loan is a calculated gamble by Alan Stubbs and I don't think Anier was ever his prime target. It's notable that he has been loaned out to Hibs and IMO it's a case of lets see how he performs in the coming months. Then Hibs can reassess his employment status at the club.

How many strikers does one club need.....I'd have been happy with a dedicated left back.  Doh

I agree Exeterhibby a left back is needed stevenson does ok but I'm always nervous watching him. Interesting news that HFC have signed another striker Jamie Insall on a 3 year deal I take it Stubbs is looking to off load a couple of the older guys like El Aligu - Malonga maybe

Stubbs seems to have left this Insall signing until the very end because the player has been on trials at EM for long enough. Of course, there's a possibility Insall and his agent were hanging on to gauge other interest before committing to Hibs campaign! He's nicknamed The White Pele and I hope he lives up to that name and ends up being a hidden gem that Hibs have uncovered.

If he turns out like the player Jamie Vardy has turned out after coming from the lower leagues we will be home safe and sound

Shake It All About?
There'll not be much shaking about in defence as that's the area where we've done the least business. Oxley has come back and Reguero has replaced Cerny on the bench with McGregor covering for Gray. The only genuine left-back we had has left, leaving Stevenson filling in yet again.
Despite the departure of Scott Allan, the midfield has an embarrassment of riches and there's now genuine competition for places. With Fyvie, McGeouch and Stanton (less so) from last season, the addition of Bartley, Carmichael, McGinn and Henderson will make life interesting with regards to squad rotation.
The same could be said for the forwards. Certainly Anier will be expecting regular games, as will Keatings, leaving the "old" guard of Cummings, Malonga, El Alagui and Boyle fighting off Feruz and Insall. Could it be that Feruz gets a game or two with the Under-20s? - Lewis Allan and Conner Duthie are both out on loan.

All in all, it's been a very positive summer for Hibs, with Alan Stubbs seemingly ready to lose some goals in the knowledge that plenty of attacking players will score enough to win games well. Look out for 3-4-3 formations and lots of attacking substitutions.  Thumb up  Onwards and upwards.

That seems to be the way he's thinking Ritchie he's got players ie Boyle & feruz with plenty pace about them to bring on in the last 20/30 mins against the teams that will tire everything looking quite Rosie for the hibees
