I'm sure he's going unless he does something stupid to put Spurs off. Or could this be a ploy to tell Spurs and anyone else that he is not selling Berahino. Very unusual for a club to make an offer from another club this public. If JP had any intention of selling he would have told Levy in 'private' that he is not for sale prompting a new, bigger, offer. It would seem, on the face of it, that Jeremy is serious. ...unless Spurs get stupid with offers like £30m, of course... ![]()

But making it public could potentially create a bidding war as now all the other clubs are aware of it. To me it indicates that they want to sell him.

JP says something like 'naturally everyone has their price' - this is a get out clause should a bid of £25+ get tabled.
As said before. Happy to keep the lad but equally happy to cash in. BUT only if a replacement has been lined up.

JP should be looking to see if Nabi or any of the other kids can make the same step up as Saido has done. If we think they can then collect £25m and move on.

With this bid now coming in for SB it got me wondering, has he got a new agent yet and if not, can he and more importantly should he, negotiate a deal himself?

As I posted on another thread:
I suppose now I have cooled off a little now and reading back on an article from February, which most people on the forum at the time said, fair enough to. “I’ve got to stay focused on what I’m doing right now, which is scoring the goals and keeping West Brom in the Premier League. “If I can keep them in the Premier League and score as many goals as I can, I’m pretty sure the fans wouldn’t mind me pushing on and going on to bigger things.” I know I certainly thought ok fair enough at the time and I guess he is just holding us to it. He could still have waited a week though, then pushed if it did not happen.

Salop, good post, I bare Saido no ill will, the way football has become we are not going to be challenging for titles and cups on a regular basis anytime soon, everybody wants to progress, maybe we could give Saido a years football, maybe he would improve maybe not, if he wants out no point forcing him to stay, let's cash in. However if he goes I wish him well, if he stays I for one will be behind him.
After all we are all one ALBION. COYB |
