apparently fee for Butterfield is in the region of 5 million, thats a lot of money and hard to turn down for any club let alone one in Huddersfield position and is a very good profit margin for a player we essentially got for peanuts in the Clayton trade

also just goes to prove the power players have now, if they want a move most of the time they'll make it happen, and most clubs have no problem approaching a player or their agent outside of "proper" chanels

however it is just rumor right now, so we'll see what happens

DH said any money from the Simthies deal would be reinvested in the team, I would then expect most of this to follow, so we should be looking at 5/6million to invest

Why oh why oh why would Butterfield go to Derby? This speculation is just ridiculous.
He's tried being a squad player at Norwich and Middlesbrough and it didn't work out for him. At Town he is the main man, the lynch pin of the whole on field operation. Just because Derby can double his wages doesn't mean that he will ..............

All I've found is a reference to Derby not being willing to spend 5 million on Butterfield. Let's keep it that way and shove it up to 6 if they ask again. They are apparently after every midfielder in the league if you read enough of the BS flowing from the keyboards of the assorted hacks who make a living from making this stuff up. Not that Derby are all that short of them anyway (although they will be if many more get injured).

We're supposedly interested in mustapha carayol from Middlesbrough. Obviously on loan, we get money in and use it on a short term fix to an area that isn't in need of fixing. Typical town.
