Nobody's hiding Worthinger for me hibs where the better team for the first 30plus mins and deserved to score maybe should have had more. The game changed when rangers scored just before half time and scoring early in 2nd half the game was past hibs and rangers deserved the win.

I don't understand the whole scenario with Allan though why he was on the bench if he's not in Stubbs plans to start over the mess between  the 2 clubs this week why not just put him in the stand and not play him.

I thought the young lad Martin played well for us some nice touches and chased well.

TBO not bothered about this tournament the league is what we both want at the end of the day

I thought the use of Allan was strange too. He was dropped from the starting line-up because of how the transfer saga might have affected him, but Stubbs was still happy to bring him on later anyway? For me that meant you were struggling to make up numbers on the bench. If you do end up selling him you're almost certainly going to have to bring in a replacement, so I can see why the fact he can leave for nothing at the end of the season isn't enough to motivate a sale, since you'd probably have to spend a lot of the fee received on a new player who probably wouldn't be as good.

Re Scott Allan he came out to warm up first half and the cameras turned to the crowd at the perfect moment to see a middle aged women scream to him **** OFF!!!

I told you all last season about Oxley and our defence, Fred ( his weaknesses are well known and thats why I was disappointed to see we had gone back for him when he was released from Hull) . This was the first viewing for many of us to see their new keeper and all I'm saying is I was not impressed yesterday but he has time to gel and build his confidence.

I can't even go away for a couple of days without Hibs falling to pieces in my absence. Thankfully, as it appears it was only a pre-season game, no real damage has been done. Whistle

The only point I would like to add is, what has happened to our new signings?
Cabbage is still good for you

Read my thread #90 again and #98, line 8. Like most critical Hibs fans, I want Oxley replaced by Reguero asap! I'm surprised you missed both comments! Apology duly accepted in anticipation. By the way which goalie was worse? They were both mince and I hope Warburton continues to play his goalie for as long as poss!! The lad was a bomb scare from start to finish and the word jammy comes to mind on only losing two goals - mispassing, passing to Hibs players from his pen box, looked nervous throughout the match and he doesn't even look like Oxley's brother lol!!

Jammy haha. A keeper can be replaced your back four, five including keeper needs replacing . Good luck with that .

Read the posts sc.....we have been saying for days....no months.....no years that none of the last few managers has got to grips with the defence and so far AS is not much  different. I would keep Gray ( although injury prone) and Fontaine but would look for a proper left back,  and centre half leaving Hanlon to act as cover or fit into a three centre half defence when needed. Stevenson would then be free to be a squad player ( left side only of course ) to fill in as needed. As for Oxley, I think everyone knows my views by now Whistle

Both keepers were mince on Saturday but at least you would only have to try a different keeper if yours didn't gain in confidence. I don't really remember either keeper making a save when the ball was on target Laugh  but the gers keeper seemed to have a big problem with distribution which unfortunately we couldn't capitalise on. Hopefully from your perspective this will improve as he settles down.

Problem we seem to have is that when we bring players in they head straight to the treatment table and that is the last we see of them. In pre season and on  Saturday how many new gers signings were on show and how many of ours were on show........I don't count Oxley as he was there last year so precisely 0, zilch, none........makes you wonder about our training regimes Huh or do we only look for crocked and unfit players Laugh

Exeterhibby many Hibs fans went to Easter Road Stadium specifically to see some of the new players that Stubbs had signed during the summer and you're absolutely correct - none of these players were fielded. I sat in the West Stand beside a Hibs man who had driven all the way up from his home in Worcester and he was clearly disappointed before the game even started. I quickly explained to him that Hibs regard for the Petrofac Cup will be number four on the club's priority list - nice to win but it's nothing more than a pre-season friendly where players are still trying to train up to full match fitness. Also Scott Allan was never gonna appear at the start of this match because of all the ridiculous shenanigans that suddenly arose in the days preceding this match. Did this have an effect on the lead up to this match? Of course it did and any fool can see that!!!!!!! At least Stubbs and Hibs have now swatted this issue away like an irritating fly!! We'll see if Rangers and their fans move on from the issue eh and get on with the business of just playing football - isn't that what it should be all about or is that view too simple for the desperate who want to win at all cost and have too much to lose??

Pretty sure Scott Allan did appear on the park on Saturday Tynie,or maybe you missed that whilst yer head was buried in yer hands.

The only reason Scott Allan came on during this match was because of the forced injury to Jordan Forster. I have absolutely no doubt Stubbs was never gonna field him!! Also I can assure you my head was held high before and after this match - disappointing result but it's only a game of football. By the way, my forum name is 0762, always has been for at least the past five years and I don't intend to change it any time soon.
