Hibs 2015/16 League Fixtures

What a fuss these Rangers fans make about a player that's not theirs. All the talk about it being easy to stop trying for Hibs. If only they wouldn't judge others by their own standards and aspire to be better persons.

Hopefully Scott Allan is a better person and as long as Hibs are paying his wages, then he will do his best for Hibs. After all, we know he will be leaving Hibs sometime during this season, and it wouldn't give a very good impression to any future employer if he withdrew his labour so easily.

Rangers are famous for tapping players up, right back to the days of Colin Stein. It's the way they do business and they're well known for it. They're trying to unsettle our star player and drive a wedge between him and his employer to benefit from it, just a few days before our first meeting of the season. What a dishonourable club they are.

Get real. With the press, agents, scouts, supporters and even players' own team mates making it known when another club is interested it's hardly a give away if the interested party makes a bid. It's the same for every other club under the sun as it is for Rangers. Do you seriously think no Hibs signing has ever had a clue about your club's interest until their present club had received and accepted an offer? Tapping up is when you make an offer of terms to a player without permission from his club, and no one has made any sort of accusation of that here. And if there's more media attention on Rangers targets it's also worked the other way just as much with any interest in a Rangers player being plastered all over the tabloids.

I agree though about Allan's attitude. I'd like to think that, even if he wants to leave, if you don't agree to sell he'll continue to do his best for Hibs. You just have to look at Luis Suarez and his attempt to leave Liverpool to see how that level of professionalism can pay off for both parties. The reason Liverpool sold Sterling was because they knew he doesn't have that level of integrity and couldn't have been considered for selection, and he's made a very negative name for himself already as a result of his demands for the move. A lot of people are now hoping he'll fail badly at City.

A stout defence there, El Car, but just a bit of a smokescreen. Gossiping by fans, players and media doesn't count as tapping up. What does count is when an interested club makes it known that they covet a contracted player without making a bid for that player. We'll just have to differ on this one.

You make a good point in your second paragraph and I would add the name of Scott Brown. Whatever you think of him, he certainly gave his all for Hibs, even against Celtic after he had agreed to join them. He was a thorn in their flesh in their last game that season, even scoring a goal in a 3-1 win for Hibs.

Good comments by Allan Stubbs. There are certainly far better future options for Scott Allan than going to this current RFC set up!! The Govan club's latest bid reeks of desperation TBF and the biggest laugh is they don't have the money up front anyway! Bide your time son and go to a far better and more reputable club than this disreputable one!

The problem with Rangers FC is that many individuals within the club still arrogantly think they have the same high status as they had during the Murray years.  They don't!!! Their financial status is still dodgy and that ties in well with their dodgy front man, squeaky clean Dave King (a man who is full of unfulfilled promises), and all their other past shenanigans that have baffled many football fans, incl many of their own decent fans who don't want to sweep the issues under the carpet and pretend they don't exist. Their motives are clear, the timing of this transfer move is not coincidental, and I wish they'd just b####r off and find an unsuspecting football club to conduct their shady dealings with elsewhere but they clearly know that Hibs are a threat to their ambitions this season and Allan is part of that threat and is a key player who, oddly enough, rejected their signing overtures last summer - a wise move! Allan has been treated very well by the club and the fans alike. Indeed his stuttering career has been resurrected at Hibs and I hope he repays that regard by playing a vital part in a season to savour and remember.

Your big words are fooling nobody Super. Poor effort really try again maybe I would suggest Dave King is more narrow minded than I am.
I like new ideas maybe not his best idea though very unprofessional mannerism the way Rangers have went about this matter with Scott Allan.
