Get a few players in, get a few players out,
This was brought up earlier Ritchie it seems that HFC are looking to offload the two of them maybe down to the fact they have not progressed in their career as hoped.
Although are both very talented youngsters we all no it's a hard career to break into maybe if they go out on loan to a smaller club and get the game time they need to get the experience they need it might work out hopefully for the two of them.

When you look at Stanton he looks like a tooth pick compared to other professional players needs to build up big time and Handling is the same. As the saying goes ... Seen more meat on a butchers pencil ..... Comes to mind.

Also the way we started the season last year maybe went against them we needed more experienced players which came in to fill the positions they play. Only my thoughts but I would say I'm not far away with my conclusions mate.

It looks like Stubbs is opting for Mark Oxley on a permanent deal for the goalie's position. I'm sure there will be a mixed opinion from Hibs fans if this deal is confirmed next week. Alan Combe and the manager have apparently assessed quite a few potential candidates but it appears he'll be following Fontaine back into Hibs defence.

I feel that Mark Oxley is a decent keeper, but like Dracula, has trouble with crosses. Whistle Overall, he does OK and should be good enough for the Championship.

Well maybe not the best keeper but at least it's another piece of the jigsaw in place and another player on the 2year deal all the players are signing good stuff.

Worst news going about a goalkeeper....having watched him a fair bit last year I don't rate him .  Thumb down  Oxley (or as we call him "will he won't he") unfortunately is not good enourgh.  Doh

I get where your coming from Exeter he does not fill us full of confidence with some of his performances last season.
Hopefully he will be better this Season. Time will tell

I know where you're both coming from, and I'd rather have had Cerny or MacDonald, but he's the one we've signed, so let's back him. The one big improvement he must make is to dominate his goal area right out to the penalty spot. He's 6'3" so it should be fairly easy to do it. Alan Stubbs and his coaches have to encourage him to be positive in his decision-making and build his confidence.

They had him all last year and from day 1 he showed he cannot dominate especially on crosses. This did not improve so cannot see him doing so now. If you watch him closely he is obviously aware of his problems hence the " will he, won't he " nickname as he starts to come goes back and then comes again usually with him ending up in no mans land.  Doh

Naturally as he is in goal for Hibernian fc I will support him 100%   Thumb up   and certainly wouldn't get on his back, good luck to him, but this won't stop me peering through my clenched fingers every time a cross comes in.  Doh

Stubbs signs up a Spanish goalie, Reguero. So that's the goalie's position finally covered and I'm sure he'll be delighted to fight for a 1st team place at a football club of Hibs stature, having previously done some Premiership time with Ross County - a decent signing!
