Did I say it was the SFA's fault? Zenit were a better side and always likely to win but the rest gave them an added advantage. We were victims of our own success as we had a lot of important matches at the end of the season. The fact we got to the final is still a relative success, and the fact you don't like the style of football we played doesn't detract from that one iota. And the fact we were better than you domestically means it's a fact that however bad you think we were, you were in fact even worse, so you have nothing to crow about.

Besides, it's just a testament to our manager and the will of our players to win if they were technically 'the worst' team ever to make the final, because despite being 'the worst', we still got there and got there by virtue of beating a host of good teams that season. We must be the best worst team to have ever done so.
This has nothing to do with hearts lol, fairly accurate El Car it's not always the best teams that win through, but inevitably the best teams take home the silverware.
The fact is that we were the second best team in Europe's second best cup sompetition that year.

Regardless of the bitter shite you use to salve your psychological ulcers.
Wanted and not wanted, apparently.

"McCulloch, who it was today confirmed has been released by the Ibrox club, was facing a speeding charge"

- There is nothing on the Rangers website, atm, about LMcC being released.

He was OOC, Larry.
Bid accepted by Wigan for Rob Kiernan - 24yo centre back. Can play in midfield too.

Was at Watford with Warburton, and MW took him on loan at Brentford too. Had a few games for Killie on loan as well, when Calderwood was boss there - including a 1-0 win against them.

Good to see some movement, and as Mark Warburton said, an addition to the value of the squad. Young enough to get a fee for after two or three years, promising defender, well-kent by the manager.

Bad points are that a move to Birmingham has just fallen through because of an irregular medical, and he's pretendy-Irish - in the same way that Mark Lawrenson and Andy Townsend are/were pretendy-Irish.

Edit: A fee of £200k is being rumoured.
Per Wiki Rob Kiernan was born in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. I would not worry about his Irish heritage, of more concern are the injuries he has had over the years and his previous poor judgement ... playing on loan at the Dummies !
Hopefully his career will now take an upturn at Rangers.

I wouldnt worry about "pretendy" nationality - the Scotland squad is full of non natives.
Words on the BBC website about freed Derby County 35 year old John Eustace to be signed and appointed Captain!
