For some daft reason i think this could work for next season Doh . Play Melo in the defensive midfield role seeing as that is what we bought him for....even thou we have two defensive midfielders already. This goes back to posts on a previous thread, Afobe and all that....it looks as if we don't plan our player recruitment, how many LB, RB and CM do we have or need  Doh  ?? Kelhar may be good but he has been out injured for to long to go straight back in......that is assumingly Melo hasn't been injured and playing and training away......but who the fook knows with us Huh

Is melo fit?  If so then yes I like that idea.  As regards player recruitment, I think for so long now its not been a case of who we want, but who we are able to get, that should change going forward.

SG said today that Melo is having extensive English lessons. Talking is a big part of his game and he can't speak but he looks good on the training pitch and needs a bit of time to settle in.

It's going to be a hooooooooooof game tomorrow so this is how I'd line up

Westwood
Palmer Lees Dielna < Doh Helan
Maguire McGugan Hutch Maghoma
Nuhiu Keane

What line up would you suggest??  I like Towinjustonce's idea of playing Hutch at CB, but that would require Melo to replace Semedo and I am not sure he is ready, but at this stage we have to give him game time anyway, so what the hell if his english is not great!!  Aside from that and assuming the SG will go 442 I can't see any other team being put out.

we don't have the options for any other line up.
We'll be playing on a modern day equivalent of the somme battle field so it has to be big, strong players who will put up the fight which rules May out straight away leaving us with Nuhiu and Keane. Midfield basically picks itself, CB does pick itself only other change we could possibly make is Mattock in at LB with Helan LM but I don't think that would work on this pitch

also we have to go 442 because this will not be a midfield battle

I would have thought that PEI would be wanting Nuhiu to play in this one Thumb up afterall he continually harps on about him being a donkey so where better to play him than on Blackpool beach ? Laugh

Thurny, Nuihu .. stronger than May ??, really, nuihu falls over if someone farts in the South stand !!!, whereas may shows he has some strength in holding a defender off, or am I that old and fooked that Mays last goal seemed to show some good upper body power ??

I hope to f uck we don't  Doh we'd be the most ill-prepared team in history to enter the Prem and would probably beat Derby's record low points total  Doh
