THE LAST MATCH

Definitely a game of two halves against Blackburn, we were slow again out of the traps in the first half, went 2-0 down after 25 odd minutes and basically left us too big a hill to climb.  But at least in the 2nd half we did put in a decent performance but it just wan't enough in the end.  No video is up yet, will post it once I have access to it.


THE MATCH - SAT 7TH MARCH 2015 15.00 GMT

For the second game in a row we go up against another "Black" team, but the second part of this one's name is aptly "pool" as they are sinking down and out of this league!!  There really is no way to sugar coat this one, this is a game we should win, no if or buts, they are seriously crap and we have to beat them!!  I am assuming that Madine will not be allowed to play against us in this one??

We have played Blackpool 84 previous times with a record for us of W42 D15 L27, so we easily hold the upper hand!!  We have won the last two meeting against them, with us winning 1-0 earlier in the season with a Chris Maguire penalty being the winning goal.  From memory this was a dire game and although we were on a good run I believe we had not looked convincing for a while.  This is a game we should be convincing in, especially as we are away from home!!




CLASSIC MATCH

There really are no classic games against these guys that I can remember or find, so rather than a classic game I have gone with a video of an "interesting" one instead!! Back in the first round of the Carling Cup in 2011 we fought out an exhilarating 0-0 draw in front of a mighty 5,400 crowd at S6!! This match eventually went to penalties and we actually won the  shootout!!  The reason I think it is interesting is that Miguel Llera played and scored a penalty for them, before moving to us, and James O'Conner was our "hero" that night with the winning penalty!!!  Who could have predicted that!!! Another interesting fact was that the ref from the Blackburn game tonight was the ref that day!!!
